Me too. I worked there (TR's husband owned the place) and at Vista Lanes when Bob played back in the old days of live bands.

Before I quit drinking, Partners was one of my favorite places to hang. Little Gerry was my favorite bartender. She ended up moving to the Eagle's Club, then Post 229, and then I lost track of her. I think she may have passed away, I am not sure. I know her friend Trudy passed on.

Don't know about Gerry but a lot of people I worked there with have passed on. Have lost track of many from both Partners and Vista. The only ones I still see once in a while from the old working days are, Joey Lewis (Mr. Vista, as we called him), John Leogrande and his brother Lou, all from the Vista.

2 things...
(1) I don't see the advantage of locking someone out of a thread. If the originator's content is so darn sacred to them, why do they post it on the Intenet? Why don't they just keep it secret and write a book or something? Isn't this 'cyberspace snobbery?'
(2) I remember Gene Kipper used to book a country-sining gal named Lori Lynn in the 60s. Any chance she was related to Bob Lynn?

Kit, none of the threads on Clipper's are locked as far as I know, except the Board Rules that I think Ralph locked.

None of the threads are locked Kit. We just simply wanted to keep the original Bebop thread pure and about the bands and musicians. You can still post to it. The object of a second thread for commentary, is for things that may not be appropriate or significant to the subject on the original thread.
Mainly for when we wander from the subject. Then we have to option of moving the comments or posts to this thread from the original. The original will remain a pretty much pure archive of memories suited for anyone to read. Not the naughty adventures that went with traveling in a band back then, or for Bobbbiez and I to wander off on a tangent off subject.

Oh heck BZ, admit it. You and I are the biggest offenders, and usually it is both of us that is involved. Haha. YOU don't need any help to be brought into it, LOL. That's what makes you so much fun to kid around with kiddo.

I am ADMIN. I am officially blaming YOU for the whole thing BZ. It's ALL YOUR FAULT, hahaha. You take the fifth. I am just gonna hide where you can't find me to kick my dupa, hahaha.
(Is that abuse of my powers as Admin? Is that unfair some way? Ralph would probably rule in favor of splitting the blame 50/50)
This may be a perfect example of why we have this new thread. Can't imagine all this being on the main thread. Haha.

Oh what the hell! I don't sweat the small things. If it makes you feel better then I confess to 50% of the blame but under extreme duress. If it goes to court then.....I WIN! ;D

Oh sure, if it goes to court you will probably flirt with Swimmy and have him on your side, and I will have to represent myself, hahaha.
