Fiona, Bobbbiez is in the hospital today, having her long awaited foot surgery. I am praying for her successful and full recovery, and sending her good thoughts.
Dave is right. You two have much in common. I don't know you well enough to know exactly how tenacious you may be, but I can tell you, having known Bobbbiez since the mid 70's, she is VERY passionate in her pursuit of "right" in her hometown of Utica NY. she is a good gal, as well as being a pain in the ass on occasion, haha. Aren't we all?
She is going to be offline for a few days, but I can't wait for you two to meet. You don't live that far apart, and you really should get together. She is a "beauty" and if you two become friends, maybe she will be occupied with something other than picking on ME. hahaha.

Frankcor, that was a terrific speech . . . Wish I could have been there to hear it. Hats off to Rome, what a great turnout! Went to the Utica Party today . . . Was somewhat disappointed at the low turnout -- perhaps understandable because it was late in being organized and was at a time when most people were working -- but I got to meet some nice people. From the Utica912 website I think they are off to a good start, Thanks for the tip on the Utica 912 Website. It looks interesting. www.the912project.com/Is there a webpage for the Utica contingent?

Finally, I composed myself and told the guard that we were the ones that owned the building, paid his wages and that he better educate himself on the right to assemble. Bobbbiez, I want to be just like you when I grow up! I found this picture at the OD web site. I really wish I had remembered to remove my sunglasses before starting to speak: Hey!!!
This guy isn't giving a speech.
He's singing Sinatra's "Come Fly With Me."

Hmmm. I thought I heard "New York, New York", but I bet "that guy" could sing either, with equal talent, haha. then he could put on the dreadlocks wig and do some calypso. He is just a multi talented individual, what can we say! ;D

I think Fiona and Bobbbiez both share a charming reticence, almost to a fault. They both need to speak their minds more -- stop holding things in, ya know?

Fiona, you are correct. I do owe an apology to the 47 people attending the Utica Tea Party and to the Uticans who did take time out of their busy days and drove to Rome's Tea Party. I also extend my apology to those who were sick or had other legitimate reasons not to attend, but to the majority of Uticans who just didn't show up I stand by my previous words describing them. Sorry if it upset you but Utica has over 60,000+ and when only a handful of people show up for anything worthwhile to help improve Utica then worrying about upsetting someone is not my priority. I really could care less. In my 65 years living in Utica I can honestly state, and which many can verify, I have spent 46 yrs being involved in numerous organizations, attended numerous meetings and volunteered in numerous events to help better the city I love. Doing this for 46 yrs I can truly state it is always the same people who sacrifice their time to attend these events, meetings and willing to speak out and stand up against any wrong doings in Utica. Even now, as Watch Commander for my area's Neighborhood Watch Group and attending the meetings and attending others outside my area I see only the same people attending faithfully. I can go on and on informing Uticans of other ways they can serve to help the city they claim to love, but I know these are the same people who will continue to sit on their lazy a**es at home and will be the first to bitch about everything they feel is wrong in this city. Fiona, you may not like what I say or how I state it, but it sure as hell is all true. Nothing will ever change or improve until the apathy of the majority of Uticans ends. They are the ones who has to stop leaving it up to and expecting the same handful of people, who do bust their a**es, working hard to improve things for the benefit of all. I for one am getting very tired working for those that don't deserve my energy or appreciate what others are doing, and what they should be doing for themselves. I am slowly starting to realize at my age, I deserve the break. It's my time now and I should be able to sit back, relax and have "someone" else willing to take my place. "Move on?" Thank you but I think not. At least, not until I find that "someone."

Now Clipper, let me assure you. There is NO ONE who can occupy me more then you in the "picking on me" field. ;D You just reminded me of a song I always liked, "Why Is Everyone Always Picking On Me?"

I didn't get to it, but here's the Tea Party Report from just south of me in Kingston, NY.
There are a number of interesting Tea Parties on youtube. Search for your favorite town.

Thanks, Dave! It's amazing how all those wealthy Republicans disguised themselves as normal Americans.
