No one has mentioned these?
Village Inn--was a great place for breakfast Losurdo's awesome pizza with big red glasses of delicious root beer Bonanza's (not sure what that was) And yes I remember S Kickers AND Pescatore's
I was a little kid when all these were in existence, so this is all from that kind of perspective. I also remember Dan Dee Donuts on Mohawk St and in Sangertown Square. I also remember when the Ground Round used to show cartoons on a screen and you got popcorn while you waited for your food. Man, those were the days.
I think I miss the Village Inn the most because it's hard to get breakfast around here without having to go to a chain restaurant. Though Raspberries is pretty darn good too.
I thought the ice cream place on Arnold Ave was Tasti Cream?

I think you are right about the Tasti Creme on Arnold Ave. I could not think of the name of it.
Was the Village Inn in N. Utica? Next to McDonalds? I remember the name, and I am sure I have been there, but I can't remember where it was.

I think it was Tasti Creme on Arnold Ave. I could picture what the building looked like but not the name.
I remember Village Inn. A bunch of us went there after our Junior Prom in 1983.
Pescatore's was a great Italian restaurant for a long time! My father was a friend of Mr. Pescatore, so we went there often.

Anyone remember Cavallo's on South and Mohawk St? It was later Lindi-Joys but wasn't the same.
In the late 50's my grandmother lived with us and was handicapped. Mom and Dad would go with friends to the old Clinton comets games on Saturday night and "Ma" and I would settle down to watch Jackie Gleason, Have Gun Will Travel, and Gunsmoke.
After the Honeymooners skit Ma would give me some money to walk over to Cavallo's to get a meatball or sausage "Tunnel" for each of us. I'd have my German Shepard with me and they would let me come into the bar with her and wait for the tunnels.
Great food and good memories. Never had anything like that since. They would take a half loaf and mine out the center and fill it with sausage, meatballs or both with sauce.

I guess anyone that went to Kewpee's on Oneida Square knew how good their burgers and shakes were. The Tobin family used to work there back in the 60's. There's still a few Kewpee's around the country. I went to one in Ohio.

I mentioned a while back that my brother in law and his wife drove quite a ways out of their way to eat at Kewpies in Ohio.
I have to do it that next time I go to see my sons in Ohio!

I remember Cavallo's, Lini-Joys on South and Mohawk. I couldn't remember the names though. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Charlie's Sandwich Shop on Park Ave near Oneida Square was a favorite of mine. We'd get the Roast Beef Sandwiches to take out most of the time but once and awhile I'd stay and get the Roast Beef Dinner with mashed potatoes gravy and vegetables.

Hey Jon, In the days of your travels did you ever stop at Quack's Diner in Madison, right on Route 20? Talk about Roast Beef, Potatoes, Noodles, gravy just so good. When we closed up camp in the fall on a Sunday and we would stop there before heading home. Don't know if it's still there, haven't been there since my brother passed away, about 10 years.

You are right about Quack's Diner. I've only been there a few times but have to agree with you the Roast Beef dinner was Great. Their Fish Fry was too. It's been over 10 years for me so I don't know if it's still going or not. Memorable however.

Anyone remember the Blue Valley Inn? My husband's family owned it I think in the 50's or 60's.

Oh yeah, I remember the Blue Valley Inn! Back in the 50s, my dad had a Piper Cub at the airport wear the Walmart Distribution center is today -- Riverside Airport? After flying, he would stop at the Blue Valley for a drink or two and I got to tag along with him many times. (I was 8 or 9 at the time)
I remember the bar room was a very friendly place with odd decorations but I can't remember what they were. It was right across the road from your pasture alongside the creek.

Yes, the building is still there. It was apartments for awhile, but when the last owner died (my father-in-law's cousin) it was sold and now it is a one family home.
