Now Frankie/Clipper, do you really believe I listen to your every word? It's called selective hearing. ;D To answer the question in your previous post Frankie. Yes, I do like Price Chopper's fish fries. I feel they compare to the best in the area and their price is much cheaper. Like it so much that I got all 20 pieces of fish from them for Christmas Eve dinner and all raved how good it was. This week P.C. fish fry is only $3.99. Can't beat them prices!

Does PC have broiled fish? I'm trying to stay away from fried foods.

Lucy, I'm not sure about that. Never ordered it broiled. Just give them a call.

$3.99? Damn I miss Utica NY and all the goodies that we can't get here. I am having broiled tilapia filets with creole seasoning and parmesan for supper. I would kill for a nice moist haddock filet, haha.

Yeppers, Clipper. Stan's is still open and going strong. I look forward to waiting in line there on Friday's during Lent. It's the biggest cultural center left in Rome.

I would imagine a VERY large tip would be in order, if I could get some kid to deliver here. Hell, if that works, I may order a patio chili dog next week, haha.
We DO have one fish market here, but I have only bought haddock there once, and it was soggy and not fresh, and cost $8 a pound. We are far enough from the ocean, that we don't get "fresh fish" here. Most, if not all fish here, with the exception of catfish or trout, is frozen in transport and thawed.

Did fish last night. Incidentally, it was delicious. Tonight will be linguine with clams and shrimp. I bought a shrimp ring at wally world on sale for 5 bucks for 60 shrimp. Not the best shrimp, but they will do, haha. It is a handicap, not having fresh seafood available. I will use a can of whole clams, the shrimp, good extra virgin olive oil, fresh minced garlic, freshly chopped basil and a little parsley. They tell ya not to put cheese on seafood, but I love this dish with freshly grated Romano from my little hand cranked grater, that I bought at the flea market. Just like the guys in the restaurants use. I love being retired and being able to mess in the kitchen. Kathy has taken good care of me for kitchen gadgets. We have a Showtime Rotisserie, a large George Foreman Grill, a bread machine. I bought her a Kitchen Aid mixer a few years ago, and we now have the grinder attachment for it, so I can make my own italian sausage and breakfast sausage. She is a great cook and an even better baker, but she still allows me to play in the kitchen. Just wish I had a larger deep fryer, and SOME GOOD FRESH HADDOCK TO FRY!!!! Enjoy those fish fries all you lucky New Yorkers.

Well Clipper, I had a great day with you in thought. After work I stop at the Patio and had my "chili dog" while visiting with Jon and a group of his friends. My chili dog was mouth watering delicious and the company was the best. Thanks Jon and thank all your friends for making me feel at home. Had a good time with y'all. It was like old home-week there today. Tony, Gloria and their son Anthony were all there with welcomed arms and I met some of my old friends also. Couldn't believe I met up with, Ralph Marine, my old neighbor from N.Utica. We haven't seen each other in over 25 yrs. He had moved to Florida from N.Utica and then moved back here not too long ago. Unbelievable! Thought you'd like to know we just got done enjoying our "fish fries" from P.C. They were excellent and you can't bet the price, $3.99. So dear friend, wanted you to know I kept you in my thoughts all day long. Great day! EAT YOUR HEART OUT KIDDO! ;D

Tony said I could scan the pictures of bands he has hanging on the walls that I don't already have. When I got home there was an E-Mail from Doug LaVine for me. I sent one back with the address of BeBop A Lula hoping that he'll post some pictures or comments.

Jon, when you talk to Doug again, tell him Barb (Salerno), his sister Yvonne's best friend sends her best to him. Yvonne just called me and we're making plans for tomorrow. She'll be moving to S.Carolina for good in March and I'm already missing her. All good people. It was all my pleasure for sure. Had a great time. We'll do it again soon. ;D
