He will be lucky to see the light of day with his 1-hr recreation. I am sure he will get some great meals served to him by the guards. He maybe respected by his fellow inmates but he will never be forgotten by the Correction Officer of this area. ;D

Smiley - while he might be a "hero" to the other inmates, remember that he certainly won't be any hero to the Guards that control his every movement! There are all kinds of ways to get "revenge"!!!!!!

I agree, smiley. BUT, until the liberal politicians in Albany are willing to reinstate the Death Penalty, these cop killings will continue. Remember, prison life is sometimes better than anything these scum bags had while outside of prison walls.

My Mrs.'s had to testify the first day. It wasn;t the questions that were asked, it was having to listen to 911 tape again of the call she took that night when it occurred that twisted her up again.

I really like Thelma, even from when she was on the OD forums, and I don't want to irk her ire at all, but I don't think the guy is guilty from what the blag says at least. Noone is positively identifyin this Milona kid just a lot of "sorta".
Someone else put it beter than me here somewheres but this totally sounds like the Rivera kid is mad at the Molina guy over his girlfriend crap and he I.D.'s this guy [after having 10 days to think up the name of someone he dislikes and can blame]
I am with everyone on wanting to see SOMEONE pay for all the misery but I can't buy what I read the Driver is saying. He's so obviously full of lies theres definitely something wrong here.
Its all too "convenient" what are the chances of this happening the way the Driver kid is saying. HE is lying here somewhere and hes already been caught "forgetting" things he swore to before.
Fire away Thelma... but pleeze be nice I totally respect all your views but this all dont add up at all! Its just sounds so impossible and too helpful to the Driver's "story". Blood all in the doors? What?
I know, its everyday someone you know and don't like runs up and blows off a cops head in front of you right?
Just think about all this for a second?

Bloomer - thanks for all the nice words. As a result, I will stop "rushing to Judgment" so quickly and wait until the rest of the evidence has been brought into Court. Tomorrow, they are suppose to bring in the DNA evidence.
You do have a point that there is no love lost between Rivera and the defendant and it would be a perfect way to get the ultimate revenge of someone you hate.
By the way, welcome to our Board. I think you will like being here as we all get along and there is no fighting going on among us - even when we disagree!

Dang, I was hoping to see a fight!
Just kidding. Way to go, Thelma and Boomer! Imagine that! One person states a case and the other is persuaded by it. That's something you don't see every day. I exalt you!

Well I am not going to go through the specifics, but there certainly would be "blood in the door jamb" as described.

Maybe I'm thinking of a different case, but didn't Molina admitt to a vendetta against Lindsey?
This is where on board police cameras would have solved this issue. It's disgusting that it took an officer's life before the city moved on the idea to equip the patrol cars with on-board cameras, a concept that's been around for a decade at least!

Yes it was sweet when Rivera identified Flaco as the shooter, but the looks that were exchanged were definitely contempt for one another. Rivera was an excellant witness and the defense attorney seemed pretty flustered when she could not shake him on his answers. He was definite and precise to his answers even when she tried to twist the question. I have been in the trial everyday so far and when the tapes were played, there was not a dry eye in the place, including mine. Then they showed the red neon and how Tom fell against it which brought on the leaky eye effect again. Rivera even demonstarted how ATom reacted when he got shot which gave me chills and an even bigger lump in my throat. It was also stated today by Rivera that several months prior to the shooting, he had heard Flaco make statements that Lindsey had to pay, and he would get his, and he has to go, because he kept "harassing" Flaco and he was getting sick of it. Must have had a good reason from what I can tell. In these cases the judge should be able to stop the trial and take judicial notice of the factr he is guilty and send him to the gallows rather than bearing all the ugly facts and reliving the nightmare
