According to the article in today's paper, she collapsed onto the floor crying when she heard the guilty verdict. Other than that, I don't know about her case.

She broke down in tears in the courtroom, wailing that both her babies were being taken away from her.

???I wonder if the corrections department has family suites and rates, so that mama can serve her sentence with her two punk kids. That boy hasn't cried yet. Wait til Bubba wants to play leapfrog. The hell with who is eating his "commissary". He is going to have more to worry about than his groceries, haahhaha!

Bobbbiez - According to the article in the OD, Momma collapsed when the verdict was read. The defense lawyer stated that was because she felt the Court system had taken both of her sons away from her!!!!!! The 14 year old is being held for Family Court to determine his punishment, and the 17 year old is on his way to State Prison to start serving the 7 year sentence.
I'm willing to bet that the thought of how she should have taught them respect for authority and good manners never entered her mind. It is just so much easier to blame someone else for her own failure as a parent.

Thanks Thelma, but those facts I know. What I'm not aware of is concerning if the mother was arrested that day and if she is facing any charges herself since she did jump in to help her sons during the attack on the Officer. Boy, how I hate being up here in God's country and away from all the details. Can't wait to be back permanently. ;D

I don't remember reading anything about the Mother being arrested. Maybe, someone else knows more details about if the Mother was held accountable for her actions.

I wonder if he gave up cigar's yet? Maybe they should change the warning signs on the box. Thinks to the video footage which played a big part in the conviction and the length of the prison sentence. You just never know when big brother is watching. Price of being a tough guy......free Price of a cigar......$3.00 Price for hitting a Police Officer......7yrs in State Prison Price of a tough guy crying at his sentancing......Priceless ;D

In regards to the mother... just another case of where a shit bag parent denies any role in the poor upbringing of their child. Society's fault, not mine. The police's fault, not mine. The door's fault, not my son's.
Hey Todd, wonder if he'll make it back to town soon. I'd like to look into his eyes and laugh at him!

Gee Tommi and Todd, by the time he gets through reception at Elmira or wherever, he might not be recognizeable, haha. He might be wearing lipstick and heels by then. I took a busload of criminal justice students to greenhaven once, years ago, when I drove for central coach. I was cracked up when I saw a "bitch" wearing lipstick and makeup. We saw the same scenario at Quinte Provincial prison in Canada. Ha, this young bad ass will be a sweet ass when he gets off the bus at Elmira or Auburn, haha.
Love your post Todd!

Yeah Clip, those girls really do themselves up for their men. Black grease pencils for eyeliner, red ones for lipstick. Get some lotion and they're going to have a real nice date night out in the yard.

The charges against the mother are still pending from what I was told. The "display" in the courtroom was an act for the cameras. I thought she was fainting until I grabbed her arm and realized she was all tensed up, so I let go of her and let her carry on. She did the same thing in the hallway while they interviewed the defense lawyer. Once the cameras were of, she wlaked out. By the time she got to the front door, she was axtually smiling and joking with family. In the courtroom she kept saying "both my babies are gone" which means that her earning potential has gone away, can't get welfare or "any other means of income" for them while theys in jail.
