Well folks how are we all doing? it's time to start the ball rolling again.Who wants to get in on the reunion jam this year?You all know it is for a good cause children and there familys.I'm trying this year to have it in the Utica area so less travel for you folks how does that sound.So far I'm talking with the owners of 12 North,I heard it was a nice place please let me know about this choice, I never been there myself.As far as I know we will have some of the same guys this year and more I hope-NYE,Tommy Acey-Andy-The Sunshine Boys.Again I say please let me know soon if you can put together your old group if you need players to fill the group there will be plenty of guys who will be honor to help you out and I'm one of the biggest helpers out there for you.Lasy year was a blast again except for the club.It was a little better then the year before but the owner still gave me a real hard time.I'm real sorry that I did not have time to get SonnyDee up there last year butSonny let's do it this year.Also I like to hear from Johnnie R. and all you guys who came up to me last year and wanted to play do it this YEAR do not put it off it's a great feeling to help those in need.God bless you all for a goodtime last year.And we do need raffles again this year if you got sometime to donate please let me know soon.We raised close to three thousand last year.I want to thank Mary and Tommy Acey for all there kindness and the great job there sons did on the DVD's.they came out great.I hope you all got a copy.If not get a hold of Mary or Tommy and they will get you one.hope to hear from you all again do miss the chats. Jay, that's great you're doing it again this year. Sorry I had to miss the 2011 date. In November I moved out of state, but plan to hopefully spend the summer somewhere in upstate New YOrk this year. So I'll put an August date on the calendar as soon as you nail it down. Sorry I can't play with you guys. I've been working on my keyboard and enjoying the hell out of it, but I don't think I can play anything all the way through anymore without screwing it up. Age eventually gets to us.  However, I want to personally thank you for all your work on the Reunion Jam. It indeed inspired me to once again take up the keyboard after many years and I have received much enjoyment from it. I play constantly through the day. Every time I walk by the keyboard I sit down and play something. I may be driving my wife crazy, but I'm having a hell of a lot of fun. So, Thanks! Dave |

no Dave it's many thanks to you and all the other people that show up and support the children.We are just little specs in the music world but we do count.I'm glad you have that music bug again it never leaves a true player it just goes to sleep for a while and wakes up new and refresh.Your more then welcome to join us any time durning the jam I will be honored to have you.do not worry about the mistakes that's what makes the music go on and on.Freedom to express yourself comes to a cost of mistakes and now you found a new and better part to your song....We are a breead all to ourselfs we love people to hear us perform it's like drugs the more you use the more you want.Never be scared of what you do but be scared of what you don't do. we are now going to the 12 North club to check it out for this years reunion jam.which as far as i know will be Aug 17 or 18 this year.so save that date and lets get some more players to show up.please let me know if you got your old group that wants to help out to raise money for the kids.the last two years were a blast just ask anyone who was there.Just like the old days but we are just a little bit slower lol hope to hear from you all God bless.... Jay, you might want to check out the "Silverado" in herkimer, as it has a lot more space, huge stage, for all the groups to set up on, much bigger dance floor, and great acoustics, not to mention, many more tables, and great wrap around bar... just an idea...

Well thank you Sonny, we have not put anything in stone yet so I'll have Ronnie check it out.You know as long as we get it for free they can make all the money on the food or booze,we just want the door for the children and the raffle money.Where is that at in Herkimer I have family that still live around there....Our you going to get a group together? I sure hope so we can use all the help we can get.You saw last year it a blast.Get with Tony Joesph and maybe you cad but a group together let me know soon.thanks for the tip...NYE

Dave , my thanks goes out to you and everyone like you that makes it easy for me to do what I have to do for these kids.I know in my heart it's not enough but we all have to start some where.Besides that is what music is all about makeing screw ups so you will have a new verse for you song.I look at it this way a piano player should get one year life for each key on his piano so you better have a 88 keyed piano...LOL hey we all can't stay around for ever, we must go play that big gig with our old friends up there jamming now....oh shit they just screwed up again...LOL NYE

Jay, the silverado is located just off the thruway exit in herkimer, and right behind "Denny's", Has ample parking, and as I said before, a huge stage, and dance area, and I am sure you can arrange something with the owner, even if he has to charge at the door, I'm sure he will be happy with the responsive crowd, he will be getting. I think I will wait until you start rehearsing, and maybe just do some things with the NYE, or whatever group will have me sing with them. Will wait to hear from you on that. All the best!!!

Jay, I am going to miss having the reunion at Sylvan Beach. I know the place we had it the last two times sucked but there are other places up there available. Hope you checked them out. Just thinking I don't want to spend hours just sitting in a bar. Would like a place we can go outside to get a breathe of fresh air and walk around a little.

Silverado is a great place, and the management is nice. I used to go there to line dance in the late nineties. It is clean, and a great place for a live band. It is also a little easier access for folks coming in from out of town than Sylvan Beach is. I am hoping to schedule our trip North to coincide with the reunion this year. Plenty of room, and parking, and Denny's right down the street for coffee, breakfast, and great conversation afterwards.

Yeah clipper, that's what I was thinking also!! "Denny's" has big back rooms also, in case the crowd is over 8 to 12, not age, I mean number of people......bobbie, it's a catch 22 situation.. better access, for out of towners, or availability of the beach scene, with patio, and lake.......
