I hadn't had this in years & looked high & low for it. Price Chopper has it this year! Yippee! I'm in my glory (between the ribbon candy & Turkey Joints...mmm).

Me too! Ribbon candy and turkey joints. But the ribbon candy has to be the thin ones. Like them much better. Sent out four jars of the turkey joints to my sis in CA for her and her kids for the holidays. Most people never heard of them and that they are made locally. Another plus, for this area. ;D

It IS the thin ribbon candy! 8 different flavors, 9 oz. for $2.49 & it's great! I love the cinnamon one.

N. Utica Price Chopper has a big display of it right in the front of the store. I imagine the other P.C.s have it, too.

Turkey joints are great, but are WAY overpriced if I remember correctly. Seems a little high for a little corn syrup, sugar and peanut butter. Don't get me wrong. I love the damned things and bought them every year when I lived up there, but every year I bitched about the price I had to pay for them, haha.
I remember going with my grandmother to the Fanny Farmer store downtown in the 50's, where they had all the different colors and flavors of ribbon candy in the showcase, and you could pick your own assortment. Is Fanny Farmer completely gone now, or do they still have a store in NH?

They're $15.99 now, Clip! WHAT peanut butter? It's chocolate & Brazil nuts in the center.
I think FF is still in N.H. I could be wrong.

Hazelnuts, peanuts, hexnuts and washers, haha. I haven't had the pleasure of eating any in several years. My memory was of a nutty center, whether it comes from Hazel or Peter Pan, haha.
$15??? I bitched way back when they were only half that much. haha. Pretty expensive candy don'tcha think? Sheesh. Hell, I guess I will stick to Butterfingers and Milky Ways, haha.

Have not a clue what turkey joints are. (iis that where all the Utica turkeys hang out) ;D (sorry the devil made me ask that) We have a candy store here on Park Ave (Stevers) they make old fashioned candy I should check them out. (you'll think you died and landed in candy heaven) www.steverscandy.com/shop.htmlAt Easter time they make the panorama eggs. I use to buy some for my nieces when they were little for their baskets.

Turkey joints are comparable to the good brand name chocolates which you get very little of in a box. I'm not a big chocolate eater but just love turkey joints and feel I'm getting plenty for the cost. One piece of chocolate is gone in one little bite. Takes more then one little bite to finish off one turkey joint.

I love to suck on them 'til they get down to the chocolate. (No comments from the peanut gallery now.) www.turkeyjoints.com

It had been so long since I ate one, that I thought I remembered peanut butter in the center. Now I remember the chocolate hazel nut stuff. It is good, but beyond my budget for a sweet snack.

I do believe Fanny Farmer to be gone. The one in the NH Shopping Center? It's now Candy Corner.
