Gee Frank, I suppose it is better to be a piggy with a pony tail than a pony with a pig tail. All that braiding must be tedious when ya take it down to shampoo it.

I think she was referring to my comment about the "hold on boys..." comment.
La Femme Nikita was a good show, I thought. Way better than some of the other 90s programming on USA.

I knew that Swimmy, but I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to tweak dear Bobbbiez. That foot must be killing her if she needs you to speak up for her. That's not to say you don't make a fine mouthpiece.

This takes 10 minutes. If you think you know about America government, you probably need a review. If you think America is a Democracy, then you should spend the 10 minutes reviewing this message. Subject: Basic lesson in America www.wimp.com/thegovernment/I had several "hmmm, I never looked at it that way" moments. Of course, I could probably spend 10 minutes on the things in it with which I disagree but that would be boring.

To return to the more interesting side track. I have a suggestion for a working title for Ms Peta Wilson's next project: Marion the Libertarian Librarian.
It would feature, of course, her struggles against Terrorist Bibliophiles from her headquarters beneath the Folger Shakespeare Library in D.C.

Although over simplified in parts (history of Rome) I think this should be part of every school child's education. I suspect that instead, the curriculum today preaches an oligarchy of those who are the most "knowledgeable" of the needs of the masses. Those who know what's good for us. Our modern day university based Gnostics.

The film does a good job of pointing out how there is no difference between Republicans and Democrats. They are all oligarchs.

Here's page 2 of the story ...Fox NewsChorus of Protest Grows Over Report Warning of Right Wing RadicalizationConservative groups are up in arms following a recent Department of Homeland Security report that warns of the possible radicalization of right-wing extremists. The government considers you a terrorist threat if you oppose abortion, own a gun or are a returning war veteran. That's what House Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Lamar Smith, R-Texas, said Wednesday in response to a Department of Homeland Security report warning of the rise of right-wing extremist groups. Smith, who said the report on "right-wing extremism" amounts to "political profiling," said that DHS is "using people's political views to assess an individual's susceptibility to terror recruitment." He joins a growing chorus of protest from irate conservative groups that are protesting the report's findings. The report, titled "Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment," released last week by DHS' Office of Intelligence and Analysis, said while there is no specific information that domestic right-wing terrorists are planning acts of violence, it suggests acts of violence could come from unnamed "rightwing extremists" concerned about illegal immigration, abortion, increasing federal power and restrictions on firearms -- and it singles out returning war veterans as susceptible to recruitment. A senior Republican Judiciary Committee aide tells FOX News that the Obama administration "should immediately retract the report and apologize," saying that according to the report, pro-lifers, anyone who lost their jobs or are one of the thousands of military veterans who have fought to prevent another 9/11 could be suspect.www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/04/15/protest-grows-report-right-wing-radicalization/

Swimmy, I enjoyed Napolitano's statement for its aggressiveness. It's nice to hear someone in government say "we're doing our job, goddamit, and we're going to keep doing our job." However, her agency has made a PR mistake, and she'll have to live with it.
I think everyone (except the loopiest liberals) can appreciate that in security work, profiling is everything.
I couldn't get the second link, gordonunleashed, to work for me. It comes up "file is damaged."

Hmmm, the second link works for me. I downloaded a copy and I'll try to find a place to publish it online and then I'll link to that. May take me awhile, busy day ahead.

Swimmy, it's working this morning, but after the document downloads, I get that same message trying to open it. I wonder if it's because I'm using the full version of Acrobat. I'll try to load it with reader. thanks.
