I've never heard of her. I listened to her talk today. Kinda interesting choice. She seems down to earth. Everyone is making a big deal about her lack of experience. Well......maybe that's what this country needs because those that have had experience sure haven't been doing so swell! I guess we'll have to see how all of this shakes out. Still not in love with either side!

It's funny her and Obama have lack of experience. I agree countrygal I don't know too much about her either.

Gov. Palin is a great pick! She is everything the American woman is. Just go to Wikipedia and check it out.
This was an outstanding choice for Mc Cain. A big help in getting some of us conservatives back.
She has more executive experience than Obama has on his wrinkled little toe! Just consider, governor of the biggest state in the United States.
Her husband is her high school sweetheart ,a full fledged Eskimo and fisherman, and works for BP in the oilfields. Guess what the dems are going to high light.
Told congress to take their "bridge to nowhere and stick it. "If Alaska needs a bridge, Alaska will build and pay for it"!

She seemed very interesting. He has all the angles covered......mother, son off to war, NRA member, disabled child (I think her youngest son has Down's), union, working class, etc.......I'm not familiar with many political views and the only way to learn something is ask questions, so I'm gonna ask. What do Conservatives like and/or don't like? Same with Liberals. I don't know which one I even am, if I am one. Can you be in the middle?

Jeez, he already had the NRA vote snared. I think he chose a woman to pick-up the disgruntled Hillary diehards who refuse to vote for Obama.
Who the hell knows. I'm just glad he didn't pick Romney..

Yeah, you're right about the NRA, but it probably made them even happier. And you're right about the Hillary vote too I think!

Is it just me that thinks that John McCain and Sarah Palin come across as being interested in issues that concern taxpayers, and Obama and Biden seem more interested in simply defeating the republicans, and in party interests.
I can't stand the arrogance and attitude when Obama takes the podium for a speech. When he points that finger, I have an irresistable urge to break it off an shove it up his socialist ass.
People worry about Palin's inexperience if McCain were to die, and Obama's experience level. Hell, the president doesn't run the country single handedly. The secret is for them to surround themselves with experts and great minds of every kind.
If we are to have a female President, I would rather see it be Sarah Palin than Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton is a hasbeen now that Obama chose Biden. She can retire to Arkansas and forget running again. She is a dinosaur loser just like Gore and Kerry. She can retire and go on a book tour or lecture tour.
The republican party no longer has to have the face of Goerge Bush and Dick Cheney as their public image. They have a chance to turn the party around and to make a difference.
Democrats need to get on board, and work with the whitehouse instead of playing sore loser and whining about every issue that comes out of the whitehouse press room.

i think this gutsy choice put mccain back in the game, especially when you see all the hollywood sychophants surrounding obama..i dont care much about what entertainers think i just want to be entertained..Elvis said it all in an interview once when asked what he thought about the president and congress his answer was "i'm just an entertainer sir i dont think people care what i think about any thing so i keep my views to myself, i dont think celebrities ought to be telling people how to vote." or something to that effect.

I don't think anyone should be telling anyone else how to vote. Everyone should use their own intelligence, gather the facts, form their own opinion, and vote accordingly. If they did that, Democrats would be nonexistent! lol I'm just kidding aobut that last part.
I agree with Countrygal about the experience bit. It's one of the reasons I'm for Obama. We've seen what the "experience" has gotten us. Perhaps it's time for a clean slate...
