I have a Blogger Blog. I have Google's Adsense on it, and I make sure to place tag words on it, but after a couple weeks now it still isn't getting picked up by the search engine crawlers. Anyone have an idea what I'm doing wrong?

Could just be that your blog is not receiving enough traffic for the web crawlers to pick up the site.

Just give it time...it's only been a couple of weeks! Mine gets picked up and I don't have adsense on it. It just a took a while to be found. What's your blog address, btw?

I have one at woodgatefarmer.blogspot.com/I have another, but it is a pretty skanky place right now because I'm hip deep in a flame war with my little comic book trolls, schlubs, and stalkers. Giving you the addy would be like walking into your home with hip waders on after just hiking across a freshly manured field. Once it is cleared and cleaned,I'll happily share it. It has over 50 Blog posts on it already. Thanks for your advice, Kim. Ever work at Braclay Sportswear on River Road in Marcy, say about the late 80s? I know I think I've seen you before. It is gonna bug me now. ;D

Nice blog, Rick. I played with the old photo of the tiny house.

Not bad, Dave. I had a little trouble at first envisioning it that way though. I have some up-to-date pictures of that place to post so you or anyone else reading it can see how my Dad and I changed the place over the years.
Oh! Before I forget, another dumb question:
Is there any way a person with a Blog can tell WHO or how many people are reading their Blog?

I don't know about other sites, but Blogger has a sitemeter capability. I don't know anything about it other than I have seen the meter at the bottom of the page when reading some blogs. Maybe strikeslip could help you. Drop him a PM.

Sitemeter just tells you who has been looking at your blog, where they came from and what search words they used. I don't think it helps that much with driving traffic to your site, but it IS cool to look at the search words! :-)

"it is cool to look at..." Kim? That is an understatement, haha. I am recalling the thread on your blog recently concerning search words, LOL.

Whazup over in NC today? We are getting some really heavy rains and thunderstorms. No violent weather, but real downpours. I am in the process of putting new gutters on the house, and boy are they getting a workout today, haha.

Hot and sunny, just like always. It doesn't rain here....I'm so sick of this drought.

Well, I went and looked at Sitemeter, but couldn't try it for free as you have to running Windows Vista. I'm a safe step down. Kim, do you know of any other Blog site tools that I might use? I'm just interested in how many hits I'm getting. I've got Google's adsense and I wanted to see if that is having any affect. Thanks.

Rick, do you have to have vista to run sitemeter? I guess I won't ever be running sitemeter. Many of my friends have vista on new computers and wish they had XP back. Some of them have reloaded XP and taken Vista off their machines. I take it there are a lot of problems with vista.
