Hey Clipper, I went and checked out SiteMeter and the only free download (for trial purposes) that I could find offered was with Vista. Like you, I have pals that run Vista and hate it. I have a sister that has had to reload it twice on her new pc because it has flaws. Anyway, there must be something else available that will allow me to see stats on visits.

Vista only? I've had sitemeter for ages...well before I got Vista, and my mother, who does not have Vista also has sitemeter. And we both have the free version!

Ok, I just checked...go to sitemeter.com and click on basic...it's free and you don't need Vista.

Rick, you could try this: feedjit.com/ I haven't used it, but I know some people who have and they seem to like it.

Have you had any problems with vista Kim? A friend of mine here in Bristol, has had it crash on him on several occasions, and when it crashes he lose a lot of stuff that he can't retrieve. He ends up having to reformat his whole harddrive and reload everything, and then he is still unable to retrieve some things.

I really haven't had any problems, other than it taking forever to boot up and shut down, but I made a few changes and now that's not even a problem. :-)

I'm having a problem with visitor counters on my website. They just evaporate after a while (with my numbers.) Any recommendations? Thanks.

Stoney, the free counters I've been using are from this outfit. www.free-traffic-counter.com/They count the number of hits, i.e. each time someone visits the site or a page. You can see them (when they work) way down at the bottom of my pages. For example, on my main website page, scroll down and you'll see a tiny box with a number in it. www.windsweptpress.com/index.htm

I've been using statcounter on my sites. Never an issue, plus I can see how many times Kim stops by too www.statcounter.com/Free and you can track multiple sites you have on it.
