now I just need to find a wife. Isn't that an old-fashioned concept? I thought folks just go right to having the kids first. What can I say, I'm an old-fashioned kind of guy. My grandfather raised me to be a gentleman. I swear I belong in an earlier time. When being a gentleman meant something and attracted girls my age.

lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What the hell is this topic about? Who recently was apologizing about hijacking a topic and I told him not to worry, we're all guilty of doing it. "The prove is in the pudding." Guess we all just proved that point. ;D Good morn everyone. Hope y'all are keeping warm. except for you Clipper. Did you get your wheels on your lawnmower fixed yet?

Swimmy, don't rush the marriage thing. My brother and sister were both in their thirties and had masters degrees in teaching before marrying. They are both still married to their original mates and quite happy.
I married at 18 the first time, and 27 the second, etc. etc. Obviously better evaluation of a mate, and a longer term relationship before committing might have been in my better interests. LOL.
Don't be in a rush. Plenty of time for marriage and kids. I am 61 and everything is still working fine. You won't automatically become impotent or sterile on your 30th birthday.
I envy your studious nature, ambition, and the stamina neccessary for the 24/7 studying. You are facing a wonderful future, and will find a mate that will be worth waiting for. You will be a prize catch for the right woman and I predict you will have the whole package, wife, kids, picket fence, and all the other trimmings.

My youngest son(now 46) went thru a stage in his life where he felt like you do - "no one appreciates nice guys". He found the right one for him, has been with her for almost 10 years, and both are still very happy with each other. Hang in there - your "special" one is waiting for you. All you have to do is find her.

Oh yeah, swimmy, I almost forgot what the Navy told me. They told me that if I "needed" a wife, they would have put one in my seabag when they issued us the neccessities in basic training. How very true that was at the time, haha.
Same probably applies to law school. If you really needed a wife, they would most likely be on sale in the school book store.

;DOh yes, for sure! I don't want to be chauvenistic about the whole thing. Marriage is an equal opportunity risk for both sexes, and can be a fun ride or a nightmare, depending on who, where, and when you enter it's throes, haha. No offense was intended Countrygal, LOL

LOL, with all the advice swimmy is getting here, he's gonna turn out just PERFECT!
swimmy, you'll notice Clipper didn't mention anything about it falling off when you turn 30. Use it while you got it!
Somehow, I think Jduges may grow to appreciate that a topic he started to complain about Clipper's Corner turned out to be the one with the most posts in it!
