That is just disgusting. Why do people have to be assholes?! No respect for anyone, not even the dead. Is this a sign of things to come with the community center? I hope not. But it further proves the mentalities and personalities that live in that area.

I predict there will be an arrest made shortly. The filthy animal or animals were sure to go and brag about it. Utica not only has a abundance of assholes they also have snitches. This disrespectful animistic behavior is exactly what the community center will have to endure. I am truly saddened by this news! My heart goes out to Tom's family who had to receive this news or read about it in the paper.   |

Yes. this is sad but I wasn't surprized. Vadalism in cemetaries is a constant event around here.
If they catch the person who did this mayber someone should place that person on the cross.

They should do it out of 6x8's or 8x8's.
And put Toms picture in a frame of 1/2" Lexon.
Someone busts that up they'll leave a little piece of themselves behind I tell ya!
It's a shame that they build little memorials on the side of the road out of no more than fence pickets but they hang around for years.
They make a substantial one for Tom in the neighborhood and some a--hole comes along and defiles it!
I wouldn't even bother arresting them, wouldn't be worth the time.
A good old ass kicking would work wonders and set the tone for further "wannabe's"!!!

The OD sucks. I wanted to post the following suggestion but there was no comment section:
Perhaps the MVCC freshman design course in Engineering Technology could come up with a design incorporating 4" steel channels -- something that would withstand a 40 mph impact by a drug-dealer's Escalade.
