Maybe Pacemaker would be kind enough to donate some 6" SS channel for just that purpose. Forget the 4", you want that Escalade to stay there afterwards!

The design I had in mind would use a little welding, Ralph. Presenting a narrower edge to the Escalade would peel it open like an orange. I figured Milar wouldn't donate the 6". I hadn't figured on Pacemaker.
I gotta admit, the stainless is a nice touch!

I though it would present a nicer finish. ;D
Something you could simply dust the "junk" off of afterwards.

Good one Frank!! You are 100% right about OD. They wouldn't be able to control those comments or spin them the way the would want. I said it in another thread somewhere that they should put up those trail cams or something equivalent. Maybe some of the neighbors would be willing to set videos in their house directed at the monument. Thats if the community really cares like they say they do.

Wcup, I wouldn't have a problem setting up a video camera, used to have one on our front porch.
But most of them are "real time" capable only. If you want to catch someone, you need recording abilities, and that can get pretty expensive, whether it's VHS or hard drive capable.
But if someone supplied the equipment, I sure wouldn't have a problem using for the intended purpose.

I didn't have any luck with Google -- does anyone have a guess at what a 20-foot length of 6x8.2 stainless steel C channel would cost? I'm thinking a 5-foot horizontal cross arm welded to a 15-foot vertical riser with the lower 5-feet buried in a reinforced concrete footing might be a bit tougher for street hoods to destroy. And like Ralph suggests, the stainless finish would be real purty. It might be a good spot to invest some of my rebate check in.

I hear ya Ralph. Prolly a DVR set up would be the best....hey here's an idea.....since robbery seems to be the crime of choice lately, lets do a BURGLARY of an electronics store. No one around to call cops, won't have to hastily flee the scene in fear of being seen or chased by a clerk. Whadda ya think? Huh Huh, wanna wanna, I'll drive and be the lookout.
