I see where part of the Bandella Brothers will be performing to benefit the Steven-Swan Human Society at Daniele's Rest on April 30. Haven't seen Joe Nuccio in quite a while but have bumped into Barry who is a dealer at the Casino. I think John is now living in Florida. Good to hear an old time band is still playing around the area. Would still like to see some of the old groups come together for a re-union some day. That would be awesome and I bet a hugh sell out. Think about it.

great to see some of the old ads for the playboys, with freddie, ronnie, eddie elly, and eddie arcuri, the original "Elvis" impersonator. Eddie passed way too early, and was sadly missed. Ronnie and freddie, and eddie elly and myself along with a great sax player named paul favat had a nice group in the 70's called the" Jade review", did not last long, but we all went on to do better things with different groups, except paul, who passed way too early also. sad to hear of the passing of ron wakeel, he helped a great many musicians get started in the area, with his club "The Nite-Cap lounge", and later to his managing the "Ramada Inn" on burrstone road along with his brother roger. good people, sadly missed.

I remember Eddie Arcuri from school and then from his Elvis impersonations. I did hear he passed away and also Ron Wakeel and recently read where he had passed away also. I remember Sundays my mom playing the radio and she would listen to Ed Slyzarzek (?) and remember the Marcessa. Jerry Fiore doesn't work on TV here in Rochester any longer. I think its been a few years now since there was a big shake up and many were laid off. I don't think he is in the area any longer either. Thought I read he was free lancing.

OMG, when did Ronnie Wakeel pass away? I didn't know. I worked for Ronnie at the old Ramada and use to see him at Sylvan Beach after he moved to Florida and came here for the summers. I'm shocked to hear of his passing.

Ronnie Wakeel's lovely OB is in the OD today. My deepest sympathy goes out to Ronnie's beautiful wife Linda and their children, to Roger and his family and to all Ronnie's relatives and friends. Ronnie was my past boss and a good friend. He will be missed by me and so many others. RIP Ronnie. Ron, thanks for all the great memories at Sylvan beach.
