Bobbiez, post the Yamaha info here, or call me. I will find out the list and or market value for you.
Kit, played the Boxcar and the warehouse in the seventies, but I don't remember much about them. Of course I don't remember much anymore.

Bobbbiez how is our new home? do you have my room ready for me? I'll do all the cooking and cleaning and teach you how to play drums...is that a deal or not???And I like you so I would do it...lol Jay You are kidding, right? If we move in before Christmas I'll be mighty surprised. It's not us, it's the damn contractors wasting all the time. They don't order materials on time, they never show up when suppose to and then they take their freaking time to get things done. Slowly but surely it's getting done but still a lot to do. "Doing all the cooking, cleaning and lessons"....................your room is ready and that's only because I like you too. ;D

Bobbiez, unfortunately I have been unable to locate your exact model of organ. But Baldwin organs have a very low resale value. The older organs that have a very high resale value are made by Hammond. I will continue to nose around, and I hope I can give you good news. All of the internet research has shown Baldwin home organs to be give-aways or sold very cheap. I will talk to K-music and Big apple, they will have a grasp of the resale price.

We (The Chessmen) played the Boxcar and I believe it was owned by Gary Moore's son. Did anyone out there work Hamilton College. We played a Friday night 10-2 and the next morning 10-2. The same students were drinking all night long and again when we arrived to play again in the morning. Jon will recall the trick we played on a fraternity at Paul Smiths one time in the fall. We walked away with toilet seats, bathroom mirrors, gallon of mustard and ketchup, etc and the no so good item was their spanking paddle. We were working Freddies Inn in Lake Placi at the time. The fraternity gig was Saturday afternoon. We set all of the items on the stage for display. The brothers were not too happy. They were going to hide our equipment, but decided not because they wanted us to perform that night for their ladies to enjoy with them. I believe it was the same weekend at the fraternity and the front line agreed it was time for me to have a microphone. I of course am not endowed with a great singing voice. Two young ladies were sitting on either knee while I was playing. At the end of the number, they tapped on the mic only to learn it was never turned on. The front line laughed and laughed. I had the mic for 6 months and it was never on. Only some of the great memories.

Butchd, We (The Nitecaps) did a few fraternity house gigs at Hamilton College in the early 60s. One winter night the attendance was fairly skimpy at first. We wondered why until someone mentioned that The Isley Brothers were doing a concert at the college proper. When they were done, our party quickly became flooded with people... drunk... stoned... and horny.
It was winter time and cold. My guitar player and I (bass) both had pretty hefty Fender piggy-back amps with vacuum tubes that got quite hot and kept us warm. So we're playing along when I turned around and saw that 2 couples were laying down behind our amps, all nice and warm, bare naked, doing what comes naturally. Quite a sight. Ahhh... the memories.

regards to all the guys who played "The Boxcar" in ithaca!! Great place, gorgeous women, and party night city. Also played some of the frat parties, in Colgate, and Cornell. Talk about some jealous dudes! Man those guys were ready to kill us, for trying to snag their women, and me being the singer, I was always looking over my shoulder!!! Booking with Gene Kipper, then Mike Sansone, and Tony Cee, they just wanted to get everybody booked somewhere, and college gigs were always available. After the gig, we would have to always find the dude that had to pay us, and sometimes that wasn't always easy, because they were usually passed out, gone to breakfast, forgot to leave the money with someone, or tried to stiff us!!! Really great stories about some of those days!!! Let's hear it for the frat boys, and also the co-ed dorm rooms. Fun. fun. fun....

butchd, I remember Freddie's on School Street in Lake Placid. Don't think we ever played there, but Jon would remember (He's my memory!) I do remember keeping a date one night with a girl I had dated during the school year who was doing the Summer Waitress thing. I had spent the day climbing Mt. Marcy, then hitchhiked into town and had to walk the length of it, over the hill and back, and later catch a ride back to the bivouac at John Brown lodge. Thought nothing of it at age 19.

One of the Colgate frat house gigs we (Eric & the Chessmen) played had "Little Richard" featured in the auditorium before the parties started. He introduced, with pride his left handed Stratocaster guitar player Jimmy James. We were lucky to get in and see from our spot in the balcony the soon-to-be Jimmy Hendrix. circa 1966

yes that is what music is all about being there at the right time and getting to see those players before the fame sat in.Wow I bet you will never forget that Dale? Freddie's Inn was a cross the street from the old ski jump from the 1930's,all made out of wood. When we played there we took a walk up that jump it was made out of wood and was blowing in the breeze,it was very dangerous but after a few drinks band members did lot's of silly things. All bands stayed in the house next door it was great in the summer but winter it had no heat at all.Your clothing form playing that night would be frozen in the morning from being that cold at night. We all went to bed drunk with all our shirts and pants on...lol I played there with New york Express and God Father with Brass.Hey Dale you got to try to make next years reunion get the old band together. Now that will be a trip for sure.Take care hope to see you next year.Dave as soon as I find the pictures I got shots of playing with God Father at Freddie's Inn. Playing was Rich Dumas,Lester Duval,Ed Mellee,Dave Fletcher and myself with a young guitar player whose name I can not remember at all.Age is setting in for sure...LOL

Freddie's was a hot spot, however , when "Fun Company" played there many times in the winter. We always had frozen clothes and mustaches during the breaks when crossing the parking lot for some booze and smokes. The Old Barn in the dead heat of summer was a thrill too. LOL
