yeah bobbiez, we usually get tpecast, with the bartenders, as to having the best chance of getting the girls, but what you say is true, if you're getting prime-rib at home, why settle for a hamburger!!

Yeah, that's a big 10-4. I learned that very quickly when I started to bartend years ago. The guys in the bands and I use to get a big kick out of all the groupies after us, but we had to smile (gritting our teeth) and be nice to them to keep bringing them back. Just like being in show business. ;D

I remember playing a gig, at a college frat house, and all the girls were digging the sounds, and naturally, the college boys were getting pissed, because the girls were paying more attention to us, than them, but they were really pissed, when the girls asked us if they could help us load the u-haul with the instruments after the gig!!!........ frat boys lost out that night!!!!!

Hey most of the guys at the college were too drunk to know what was going on anyway so us guys help our self.We played at Colgate college and I got home the next day and my wife at that time moved and washed my car,as she was cleaning out the rear seat she found pink underwear and a bra to match.I told her that the dam roadies used my car again without me knowing,in those days you had to be quick with your words and be able to back them up.We all had a coed of silent. You keep the knife out of my back and I'll do the same for you.In other words we had our lies down pat.Italiansinger that why they call them self frats that's because all they do is frat with them self there boys and we were men out for women any way we can get them.Boy were we BAD...LOL the life of the road what a way to go, just once everyone should go threw what we did in there life it give you a new outlook on life right/right...

John, you are so right, about the "Code".. That was one thing we musicians never violated, and if one of us did, that guy was on the s**t list for the rest of his career... Ithaca college was another great place to play. We played at a local club called "The Boxcar", and it was literally 4 boxcars joined together, quite a place, and the women, were all just gorgeous, and naturally the "code" was never violated.. I think all musicians have to "pay their dues", and work in some of the worst clubs imaginable, and also some of the remotest clubs to get to, then work themselves up to some great clubs, and then they will appreciate the downside of the road, as a learning experience for the better places later down the road.... Some really great "Road stories", that I am sure we have all had.....

Does anyone here know anything about Yamaha organs? We found one at the house we just bought and we're thinking of selling it against my grandkids wishes. It is a small one with all the instruments to accompany the music. The thing is in excellent condition being I'm assuming an older model. Will get all the details and model numbers off of it tomorrow and post them. If anyone can give me some idea what it's worth I'd appreciate it.

Damn, I was at the new house today and forgot to write down the info again. Senior moments. Thanks guys for the info. Will give it a shot when I get all the info. ps: Jay, you are kidding right? Tony Sheheen was the last to TRY to teach me how to play the keyboard and I made him crazier then he was. Unless you want to take on the job yourself don't do that to anyone (unless you really don't like them.) ;D

I saw in Reply #2858 about "The Boxcar" in Ithaca. Did you ever play at their sister place called "The Warehouse?" It was owned by the same folks and laid out quite nicely. And with Cornell not far away, there were lots of "hip" people there. Fun-loving rascals, and I never saw a fight there and never got my equipment broken. Refreshing.
