I'm thinking I might go with the priest on this one. Not just to be argumentative, although that's a consideration. Not that he's morally right, but it's just so nice to see someone stand up for what they believe. And the organizers could certainly move the date around,somhowe. I think Easter Sunday would be a great day for a parade. There are those who will argue it's none of the priest's business, but it IS, as far as he's concerned. But before I make my decision on which side I'll take, I'd like to know why the priest (reportedly) said Good Friday would be OK. That really surprises me. Dave

Good point Dave (re: standing up for a personal conviction).
I too was curious about him saying he wouldn't mind having the parade on Friday. Maybe he's thinking they could line the parade route with the Stations of the Cross? After all, Christ was in a parade of sorts on the first Good Friday.
(oh dear, I'm going to Hell for that one)
