Thank you for the blessings. I just don't see the need to walk around all day with a gray dot on your forhead all day long in public places. Is there some reason you can't wash it off after or does the blessing go away if you do? And I didn't necessarily mean better than "me" myself. I meant "me" in a general term meaning those of us that don't walk around with gray dots on our forheads. I guess this can get added to my pet peeve list. Moving on. Wow, you actually what to speak in behave of the general public. Yes one can wash off the 'grey'dot' and the blessing is not washed off. Ash Wed is not just a Catholic event it is celebrated by all mainstream Christian Churches. I get a little offended seeing so many children getting there face painted during certain celebrations. Can't they just wash it off and still be happy.

I stopped listening to the church when the Pope said it was ok to eat meat on St. Patrick's Day when it fell on a Friday a couple years ago. IMO - this is just another example of one of their "man made laws" that they reversed.

You're welcome Countrygal. And no, you don't have to watch what you say for fear of offending someone. We don't go by political correctness here. And I'll be here to restore any karma you may lose in the future. So you're in a win-win situation :-)
