As crazy as it sounds, I actually wanted Ed Hanna to win the last election. Uncle Eddie knew how to shake things up and I always felt everything he did and tried to do he did it because he believed it best for Utica. I truly think the man had Utica in his heart, I really do.
Then you have Fat Faro (no offense to our larger members). the city littered with lawsuits in federal court. The streets in shambles, but what else is new? Renting pothole killers to patch what really needs to be fully dug out and repaired. The only mayor in the history of Utica as far as I know to have a recall attempt made against. Then there is La Bella gate and the continued fleecing of the citizens by making the guy Public Service Commissioner. Let me get this straight, the guy is NOT qualified to be Chief of Police yet IS qualified to be the PSC who oversees both the police and fire depts? Are you f*cking kidding me? Keep in mind Roefaro was on the Common Council when the Pylman witchhunt, err, investigation started. Was there ever any results from it when Roefaro was elected? Nope, they dropped the investigation and bought him out of his contract with the city. Worse yet, the public didn't find out about it until about 6 months AFTER the fact when the OD finally looked into it to see what was going on with the investigation. Yeah, Roefaro et al used the murder of Tom Lindsey to bolster his quest for mayor and the political support from the safety unions certainly pushed that point home. That was the plan all along, get Roefaro elected, the unions get everything they want, push Pylman aside by buying him out and make room for Uncle Fester La Bella. Now both Dan and Dave are up to their necks in the federal lawsuit over the Longo murder/suicide and I hope they both burn for it, personally.

Already knew that before Larry announced it. He has some big shoes to follow and as long as he does follow them he'll do okay. Let's put it this way......don't know of any body else in the West end that will do any better. Time will tell. Got to wait to see who else throws their hat in the rink. Gonna be very interesting.
