I'll support Rob if he makes the run. Cardillo wouldn't even entertain the thought of signing my petition when I was trying to get on the ballot for Council.
No matter who wins the usual "city hall shuffle" will occur afterwards. Who knows who will be left and where.

I love it Corner! You are a man of few words, and occasional typos, but great wit and wisdom. LOL

I feel so sorry for Utica. What a bunch of losers they have vying for office.

Do you and BZ eat the good stuff in the jar with Orville on the label, or that cheap generic corn that leaves all those hulls stuck in your teeth? I somehow suspected that you two would need refreshments for those long sessions of conspiring to bust the chops of the males of the species.

Only the REAL popcorn made on the stove. That other stuff is full of trans-fat.

Real popcorn, popped in canola oil, with real butter drizzled over it and lightly salted. I make it in a copper bottomed Revere dutch oven. If the movie is a good one, or it is the weekend, I have been known to make a double batch. Ya better make a big batch Stoney. The election process in Utica is usually like a long soap opera and you have to watch it daily.

went to college with cardillo for 4 years many classes together major asshole very selfimportant the only guy in the 60s and 70s who wore a suit and tied to school and carried a brief case...Palmieri though personable is a glad hander has never had a job from which he left voluntarily was always shown the door, lazy no show other issues. Roefaro he got something to hide he doesnt want to come out during the race.

Well Corner, you know I disagree with you on Rob Palmieri. Having worked with him side by side now for years with the Neighborhood Watch groups and the Concerned Citizens, I have seen him work his butt off to better our neighborhoods throughout the city. He is far from being lazy and has even given many of his own personal hours to help in troubled areas. You're right, Rob has never quit in any job or endeavor he has taken on. He, as you put it, was "shown the door" because of funding or the job being eliminated but was always hired again in other positions when opened. One does not get hired back if one is a lazy no show. If that was true of Rob, I would not be willing to back him for mayor or any other position. Not my style. Seeing Rob work hard with these groups and knowing how much he really loves and cares about the city of Utica I am willing to give him a chance to prove himself in his desire to be Mayor. With all the other candidates from both parties being named we are automatically screwed right from the start.

Was Cardillo ever a teacher? I had a teacher for math and science in grammar school named Cardillo forever ago.

Cardillo and the people around him, seem to feel as though he's been "anointed" the next Mayor. Someone should tell him there's an election to be held yet!
