Bob Sullivan was a case manager for the Community Support System way back when I was the same. I always wondered how he ended up with these city jobs he had no qualifications for.

Does "change in direction" mean a switch from counter-clockwise to clockwise?

roffie obviously has no qualifications he just got lucky that people were in an anybody but julian mood bob is very personable and can be likeable but does not have the experience and qualifcations to do any law enforcement related work..as far as running for mayor people were afraid of his east utica base but there are skeletons in his closet that would eventually come out and put any credibility he would have in question.... Utica can do better for mayor and we have had better in the past..Roefaro even makes former mayor caruso look like a genius and he was dumb as a rock Ya had to bring up Caruso huh? He was an embarrassment to the city along with Pawlinga and a few others in the past. Some of whom we would like to totally forget. Sorry but because of my interactions working years with Rob I have to stand by what I said earlier. In qualifications I don't know what Rob has but lack of doesn't always mean the best man gets the job. That's been proven in the past, especially in the police department. As far as his experience I'd have to say Rob working with the police department and working on the streets for many years now he definitely has much more experience then most. Even our young officers coming out of the police academy don't receive the full experience until they get experience on the streets. Skeletons in ones closet? Who doesn't have them? If it doesn't hinder the job one is doing and they are doing it well, I don't look for the dirt.

Gee Corner, I thought that an East Utica base, and skeletons in their closet was part of the qualifications to run for the office of mayor in Utica. Seems a majority of the past mayors have sprung from those roots. LOL.

When I come to Utica the next time Corner, we will have to get together for a sangwich. Are there still any good family run Italian places in the East End? I was always like Pescatore's but that is gone. How about Nash's or Ventura's? Are they still there?

Ventura's is and I better be invited too. it's been my favorite place since I was a cheer leader and we all went there for pizza after the games. ;D

And here I thought you just bought a six pack of Genny and went to the eagle "to look at that city lights". I must have been misinformed.

Corner, I miss those neighborhood places. There are none of those around down here in the South. An occasional coffee shop or family restaurant with Southern cuisine, but no place where one can get a meatball sangwich, or plate of roasted sweet or hot peppers and some good crusty Italian bread. I used to love to go to Spagetti Joes. I seldom ordered any pasta. I would usually order plates of sausages, meatballs, peppers and such, and a bucket of beer in the old days, and soda in later years, and just tuck those goodies in a folded slice of their wonderful bread and make little "sangwiches." I am not a lamb fan, but when my Mom and Dad still lived up there, they would go on the day that the lamb was served.

Hey Clip, Joe's is still open. I'm not crazy about the place but if you're buying I'll force myself to go. I do like their roasted peppers. ;D

From what I have read on here in late years, I am not sure I want to go there any more either BZ. I will do sangwiches with Corner, and then meet you and RJ at Anthony's place for a Chili dog.

ROFL. Here we go again. I think we have wandered from Utica politics to the food blogs somewhere along the line. Gotta love it.
