pretty sure it was Leo's Pizza. MaryAnn Leo was my friend in homeroom and I would meet her and her future husband at her father's pizza joint. Her husband and high school sweetheart is kenny gigiolotti (spl?) the bass player from Jack and the Naturals. See, I still can remember some things.

Are ya sure it was where Geno's tavern was Tony. I lived on the 1500 block of West back then and drank on James. Geno's was already there in 1972. Geno's is on the corner of Miller St. The Regency Lounge was on the corner of Steuben St. I hung out there for a few years until it became obvious that there were some dangerous dudes hanging there and one could wake up dead with a slip of the lip. Lot's of mob connected people hung there in the early 70's. I drank with some well known personalities of the time in there. To them it was "headquarters," but to me it was just the corner bar. I remember the bartenders, Mook, Kenny, and Bobey Salerno, and remember playing some high dollar card games that went until daylight.
I remember one night when a drunk chick snatched Lyle Bosely's toupee off his head and was playing monkey in the middle with it with another gal. It was wet your pants funny as hell.
I guess one could say "those were the days," lol.
Was Leo's Pizza the same family as our old neighbor Katie Leo? She married Carl Prestigiacomo that I worked at Griffiss with for years. He also ran Presty's Bar on Franklin Square. Katie and Carl lived across the street from us before we moved here to Tennessee. Katie is in her eighties now.

Clipper, I was in my early teens(`64-`66) when I hung around Leo's pizza. I really don't remember any other pizza joint during that time. I lived on leah and neilson directly across from Johnny Hines.Leo's was on a corner of James, but I don't remember where. I also knew some of the "mustache Petes" in that era. I played many of gigs at bobey's joint in Herkimer. I knew of Presty's bar because as a teenager I would sneak in for a root beer . Also snuck into the Ritz on bleecker, Birdland, Blue angel and the yates hotel. LMAO.

Tony J, contact joe albanese, as I ran into him, and told him about the reunion, and if possible, maybe try to get "Everyday People" together for the jam.... Tommy can probably set things in motion, because joe was a little hesitant, but I am sure you guys can maybe talk him into it.... Hard to fathom that over 40 years has passed, that we were playing together at "Massoud's".... May have to improvise, as "Bill Lewis", is somewhere in texas, and tony martin has passed.....

Sonnydee, I know of Joe Albanese, we have never formally met. I wouldn't have any idea of how to contact him. I know he played with Thomas Acee for many years as did Dave Ash and Don Leo. I'm sure if Tommy is going to get his band together he will contact his old keyboard players like Joe or Dave.I never was a part of "Every Day People". Last year I helped out because my friends Jay and Ronnie volunteered me. LOL
