I wasn't referring to a new word, but to Swimmy's referral to a "big" word. I was just breaking 'em. I can be as multi-syllabic as the next guy...

Now I'll have to look that up in my Funk & Wagnalls

Clarence. I bought a partial set of encyclopedias years ago at a yard sale. It was part of the Funk and Wagnall's set, but they only had the Wagnall's portion of it. Do ya know anyone that has the Funk volumes to complete my set?

I just thought invectives sounded nicer than saying I wanted to say a bunch of eff words with alot of descriptive adjectives attached. lol

I applaud your discretion Denise. Do you do any teaching in the anger management field?

I've noticed that the older I get the more I am repulsed by such language, when I used to take it with a grain of salt. I must be old...

I always was made fun of for not swearing. And I didn't, except among friends. But, with some of the clients I deal with, I find that they don't understand what you're saying without using invectives.
Nice, and I just thought that up now! Stoney, I admit that I'm a simpleton when it comes to many things, especially big words.

I can't believe that a man that is purported to be educated and cultured, worthy of being the vice president of the United States, has not found a reasonable substitute for that one word that is so repulsive. Pretty sad to see the second in command using that language where it can be picked up by an open microphone. I am sure we would be proud for him to lose his temper on some diplomatic trip and let loose a few F bombs at some other world leader, haha.
Maybe he didn't realize that it was a bill signing and that those other democrats weren't there for the weekly poker game and a beer or two.

I used the word last week in a piece I'm working on. "When I (as a kid) knew I wasn't big enough to beat the other kid up, my Plan B was always invective."

It was not a partisan remark Stoney. It did not need a Republican example to counter it for God's sake. LOLOL When Bush puked on the Japanese President or whoever it was he puked on, I didn't have to go find a democrat that had shit his pants while speaking at the UN or something to counter it, haha.

Oh, sorry. I thought you were putting him down because he said that. I think Obama was more shocked than anybody!

I think so too. I noticed that Obama's eyebrows raised a little. It was just a big "OOPS". No room for potty mouth when you are a public figure, haha.

I probably could teach anger management. Hmm. If I ever get sick of my present career....I guess I can keep that in mind!
I can get pretty mad, but it takes me a lot to go off the deep end. I can honestly say that it's a learned effort!
I'm not repulsed by swearing. If I was, I'd probably find it hard to do my job. I really think sometimes soldiers swear up a storm in front of me just see what kind of reaction they can get out of me.
