Tidbits I gleaned from the Marist Poll maristpoll.marist.edu/wp-content/misc/nyspolls/ny091112/Albany/Complete%20November%2023,%202009%20NYS%20Poll%20Release%20and%20Tables.pdf 18% of voters think daily operations in Albany need minor changes 20% approve of Gov. Patterson's performance. 16% believe the State Senate is doing an excellent or good job. If the election for State Representative we held today, only 33% of Democrats would vote for the challenger. 13% approve of the job the State Assembly is doing. 44% of voters would choose their current representative if the election were held today. 20% of voters say NY is moving in the right direction. Conclusion: If you are in a room with 9 other NY voters, 2 are either brain dead or insane. Be careful, remember a majority of our voters pulled the lever to have Hevasi watch our money,

Be careful, remember a majority of our voters pulled the lever to have Hevasi watch our money, What's startling is the % of voters who would choose their current representative ... 44%. It's what keeps real change from happening. In each district can be heard the same lament, "The state legislature are a bunch of bums, but my Assemblyman is OK." No, in fact he or she is as much a problem as the rest of them. Beyond that is the poor choice we're offered between Frick and Frack

Well…..let’s look at the upside.
At least 56% of the voters think NY politicians suck! ;D

I loved his father, so if he's anything like him, he'll be great. But then again, I loved Spitzer too.

Oh dear Stoney. Ya love Spitzer? Too bad that he was not satisfied with a fine young lady like yourself loving him from afar. The whores in NYC loved him too and he paid a much higher price than he would have paid for your simple adoration with no physical side benefits. I like Cuomo well enough until he stuck his damn nose into the BRACC decision and ended up with BOTH Air Force bases being closed as a result. Had they just closed Griffiss, many local people could have found jobs at Plattsburg without uprooting their families and moving out of state. I suppose with the end of the cold war they would both be closed by now anyhow, but it sure made a lot of people mad at the time. Be sure and let me know if your letter makes the OD and when. I only get the online page here, and usually only read the obits and glance at the news before going on to the UDN page and MSN news. Oh, and under your avatar it says "don't sweat the small things". I think it should read don't SWAT the small things if you are going to stand there cracking that big whip! LOL

Stoney: Mario was a likable character, and a born lawyer. He got New York even deeper in debt than had Rockefeller, however, and earned the eternal enmity of every single state worker by stealing two weeks of their pay. Now, to me Andrew is a puzzle. He doesn't have his father's personality. And in fact, when I've heard him speak in interviews, he sounds like a hood (in the old sense of the word.) Then he goes and marries a Kennedy, destroying any last shred of respect I might have for his choices! Then he divorces her, evidently before the big runnup to the elected (rather than appointed) phase of his career, which is his business, of course. So, the puzzle to me ... and maybe you can help me to solve it for myself ... is why Andrew thinks anyone would vote for him.

Some of the shine may have come off Cuomo the Lesser. This was reported by a number of sources (including an AP report picked up by the OD) but I liked the logo from this site.CB, art is everything.

Chris Cuomo is a hottie....I vote for him anyday, time.....etc etc Well spoken, certainly, and more like his father than Andrew. Amazing how different brothers can be. But Andrew could be the better politician. We'll let Stoney sing his praises.
