Fiona, then you must have known Georgie C. (headman as I labeled him.) ;D Don't remember any of the Skutnik girls working there when I was going there. My sister is related to them through marriage and I will ask her about a Charlotte. It wasn't Charlene Skutnik by any chance? I know Charlene.

No. Her name was Charlotte Skutnick. I am sure she worked there as a cashier. The family lived on Green Street, had many sisters and brothers, one brother named Bruno, another, Benny. She attended Kernan School and had another freind, Anna, an Italian girl. Char was very classy. I was just a schulmp. I think about her every now and then. Can you look her up for me?

I'm sure I'll see my sister tomorrow and will ask her about Charlotte for you. It's got to be the same family. They lived right behind us and we lived on Warren St right next to Kernan. We all went to Kernan. Let you know as soon as I find out.

They lived on Bristol Street, not Greene Street.

Fiona, my sis is related (through marriage) to the Skutniks that use to live on Erie St years ago. She and Henry hung around together back in school (Kernan) and she is pretty sure Henry was the youngest in the family who did have a bunch of kids. There were two families in W.Utica at that time living on different streets but one was Skutniks and the other Skutnicks. Now, both families (my sister's and the Skutniks) don't see each other much. Many have moved away. Sis did say she knows of a Charlotte but has no idea where you might find her. She said she will continue to check on her for you and will get back to me with any info she can gather up. Sorry I couldn't be more help to you.
