Haha. By no means a studly. Just a single guy that didn't drink, looking for good looking and fun girls to take to dinner and such. I lived alone in an apartment on James St. and hung out on channel 3 and at Joe Tripps for a social life.
I also spent a lot of time at the Patio and at the Highland Tower coffee shop. Snuggles and Pot Belly were two of my best friends in the whole world. Michelle used to cook supper for Pete and I after the restaurant closed for the day. I am god father to her son Vinnie. Pete and I fished and hunted together all the time, and I was devastated when he dropped dead of a heart attack. A few weeks later, another great friend from the CB dropped dead from a heart attack. That would be Granite Man (Jim Amarosa). His wife Jackie (Supergal) was the sweetest gal on channel 3. They were simply a great couple, always had the coffee pot on, and were always ready for company and a table side chat over a hot cup. She is still Sunshine's (Bobbbiez's) best friend.
Those were the days huh?
Windy and I met over the pool table. She is a nice gal, and was one hell of a pool player too. I was happy to see her marry Barney. He is a great guy. I haven't seen either of them in years and didn't know Barney except from the radio and Tripp's.
Do ya remember a little guy with a big voice and a big radio, from N Utica, that called himself JW I think?

Hey Clipper, I find it very ironic that we went from Rufie to BB. Not done intentionally but strange how that worked out. Guess we really didn't get off the topic then.

Sure do know John W. (JW). He and his wife Vivian just moved back from Washington to Cold Brook last summer. In fact, Clipper, you missed seeing him by one day at my camp. We remained dear friends all these years along with Little Joe who is now retired from the PO and stills lives on the hill in Frankfort. We all kept in touch with Dave (Playboy) to. John (JW) is still with the FBI but now works mostly out of his house in the woods. He loves it and truly deserves more peace now after all those years of having to move his family around because of the job. Still close to Jackie (Supergal). Just have to go to the Casino to visit her since that is her place of enjoyment now. ;D

I am not dying to know what you discussed. I am just happy that you two are discussing something that takes up your time and gives us guys a breather without our chops being busted for a few minutes. Knowing you two it is either just plain old woman talk, or some sort of evil plot against the men folk in your lives.

I'm just curious how you came up with your CB handles. Was CB before Internet Forums...did you use to say stuff like that's a 10-4 little doggie ;D ;D
Aye Clip the plot thickens...I'm not in on this one. ;D

I don't know where others got their CB handles from, but I originally had a very unique handle. I drove the Syracuse Bus for Central NY Coach Lines at the time, and my handle was "busdriver". How is that for sheer genius and originality? LOL I picked up the "Clipper" thing later on as a truck driver that liked Joe Dimaggio, the "Yankee Clipper". He was always my favorite player when he played, and my dream came true in the 70's when I found myself having cocktails with he and Cookie Rojas at the Oasis Motor Inn in Oneonta NY. I had driven Cookie and the Auburn Phillies there to play the Oneonta Yankees on "Joe Dimaggio Night". At the time the Oasis was about the only motel in town, and we all ended up in the lounge having a drink after the game. I think Bobbbiez got her handle "Sunshine" only because "Chatty Chihuahua" was already taken, and so was "Little Big Noise". (Boy, will I pay for this one, haha) What the hell is that little gyrating, bootie shaking, critter at the bottom of your posts? LOL

Hello Chris. Hope the new job is going well for you. Actually it was, "10-4 Good Buddy," till the guys on the CB found out what "Good Buddy" really meant. Then it went to 10-4 by itself. ;D Gonna PM ya, and I will fill you in.

Yep, don't believe in beating around the bush........it would be in cold blood. Have learned, a dead victim can't testify and since you are much bigger then me, a self-defense plea would work well for me.
