I loved working for old-man Cavanaugh & his wife. They were so nice! He acted all gruff & everything, but he wasn't at all.

Stoney, sure do know Harry and have for many years now. Very dedicated man in politics. Bob was N. Utica councilman at the time.

I didn't start getting involved until 1977 or so. I was majoring in Political Science at U.C. at the time. Richard Emmert was my mentor.

Well girl, I hope we can meet someday, maybe at one of Clipper's get-togethers, and swap names and stories. Seems I've been around for centuries. I'm sure we must have bumped into each other somewhere along the way. ;D

Yep, same here. My handle was and still is, "Sunshine." Call letters, KEO4083. On Channel 3 most of the time and some on Channel 1 with my black buddies. ;D Then we would go up to Channel 15 just to break em on the guys in N.Utica who thought they were all bad. They hated my sonar base and came looking for me a few times. Fun days.

A-HA!! You're talking about Scan, et al., correct? lol!
I was "Southern Comfort" (KBQ7183), & I think I hung around on 17 or 18. I do seem to remember a "Sunshine" on ch. 3. You were like a fixture, right?
"Windy Lady" would pick me up & we would go to Tripp's in Yorkville. I guess Clip dated her at one point. Do you remember "Bottoms Up"? That was my buddy who got me into CB. And "Superstud" & "Redbeard" hooked up my Starduster antenna! Remember "Gunrunner"? He tried to organize everybody & we all had a big meeting as if what we were doing was of high importance. lol!

Yep, that was Scanner and his buddies. They all thought they were mean and bad dudes. Actually, I toned Scanner down somewhat just by dating him a few times. After that channel 15 never came down to channel 3 to bother us any more. lol! I was a kind of a fixture for a while because as the sun rays came in to screw up the air ways I had a very powerful base and would help people connect with others. Plus, my older son was one of the founders of the CB Club at UFA and that got my whole family involved. Even my daughter whose handle was Little BoPeep and five years old at the time enjoyed talking on the CB with all our friends. She would wait for "her" Scarecrow every day to call her when he got home from work. You probably know Dave (Scarecrow) cause he hung at Uncle Joe's (Tripp's) also, along with Little Joe (Stetson), the Blonde Bomber (BB) and many others I know. ;D I do remember Gunrunner and Windy Lady. Just have a problem putting the names with the faces as I get older.

Gee Stoney, I actually dated Windy Lady too a couple of times before she met Barney. I dated Blonde Bomber a couple of times and was really kind of infatuated with her, but then Dick hit the lottery and she was not interested in a charter bus driver any more, haha. She left both me and little Joe in the dust, haha.

Hey Clipper, don't know about you but I did connect Little Joe up with BB with a friendly warning. It was up to him to heed the warning if he chose to but he didn't. ;D Love the girl dearly, but in her younger days she wasn't gonna let any grass grow under her dupa. Hey, she was single, young, beautiful and didn't have to answer to no one.
