I have a tuna wrap twice a week at Subway. I don't like the look of the meat.
Why do the picture's of there sub's look so much bigger and tastier than the real thing

Much better choice than a meat sub anyhow Concerned. The cold cuts are cut so thin you can see through them, and they are nothing but fat and sodium anyhow. I also do the tuna wrap, and sometimes a veggie wrap with balsamic vinegarette and hot peppers.

Why do the picture's of there sub's look so much bigger and tastier than the real thing Because consumers buy with their eyes and not with their heads. I had one a few weeks ago, Philly Cheesesteak.....the girl asked if I wanted it toasted.... DUH! Had Quizno's once, better, but not worth the price they charged me.

Quizno's is quite good, but yes, they are expensive. We have a chain here called Charlie's Toasted Subs. All their subs are toasted, and they are delicious. They have an italian sausage sub that is good, and I have to assume that the sausage comes from up North, because it is really good.

Gee Lucy, I have to wonder what variety of sub you buy, and what ingredients they put on it. I am sure that they use the same old cheap and greasy cold cuts that most other sub shops use, and they toast their own rolls which most likely come to them frozen. That is strange that you would get sick EVERY time you eat a subway sandwich, and that it has happened more than once.
When I am in Utica, I usually get a sub at either O'Scuinnizo's or some other local pizza place that uses locally baked rolls and high quality meats. Of course MY favorite is Italian sausage, and that is also usually locally made in Utica.
Cold cuts are not my favorite food. They have way too many additives and are not made with what one might call prime cuts of meat.

Well when we do buy lunch meat it is Plainville Turkey, we also try and stay away from deli meats.

My kids visited the Plainville Turkey Farm on class trips when they were in kindergarten and we lived in Syracuse. They still remember their trip in the early 1970's.

The best sub I ever had in my life was one from the restaurant on the corner of Kossuth and Bleecker (I can't believe I forgot the name already......started with an N) any way they use to toast theirs so it tasted almost the same as a garlic bread. Those were to die for.

Plainville Turkey Farm restaurant was always a favorite of ours. We would ride up one side of Oneida Lake, eat dinner, and drive back on the other side of the lake, topping off dinner with an ice cream cone from Cinderella's in the beach.

Quizno's always has coupons in the paper for buy one get one free. I really don't think their prices are that bad and using the coupons they're even cheaper then the other places. As far as sub places, other then Italian shops, Quizon's subs are far better then the rest.
