Godfather FedoraCasablanca FedoraNow that I'm considered a professional, I don't think wearing my baseball cap with professional attire is appropriate. But I enjoy wearing hats from time to time, e.g. rainy days instead of an umbrella. Two of my female friends have suggested the Casablanca in either steel gray or black. I'm pretty much sold on black for whichever hat. I just cannot decide which I would look more studly (if that's a word) wearing.

Studdly? Hell Swimmy, by the reactions that you get from the ladies on the forum, you must just emit pheromones everywhere you go. You certainly are a good looking young man that has captured the hearts of the girls here at Clipper's Corner, lol.
Uhh, I would go with the Casa Blanca, in both gray and any other color necessary to color coordinate with the suit you are wearing to work on any particular day.
It is but a short hop from "cool" to "distinguished" and from ball cap to fedora, and back again.

Swimmy, check out the way the brim folds back on itself in the Godfather hat. That gives the brim extra strength and it should hold its shape and look better longer between maintenance (you ought to get the hat cleaned and reblocked once in a while). The Godfather looks like a higher quality hat.

I went with the Godfather but don't expect me to kiss your ring. (I probably could have made a better decision if I knew what you looked like) as far as studly goes then you gotta remove the shirt ;D ;D

Well Chris, Swimmy is a pretty good looking young fellow, and would look good in either of the fedora's.
Somehow new and revised Swimmy Esquire, Attorney at law, is not as much fun to pick on as the bashful Swimmy, law student extraordinaire, LOL.

I noticed in one of the posts the name Matt so if he is related to the Matts from the funeral home I can see where the looks come from Clipper. I remember all the ladies drooling over Johnny Matt.

Haha. I remember a young Johnny Matt when a friends mother died and I was asked to be a pall bearer. He WAS a handsome guy. I wonder what he looks like now. Even I USED to be a handsome guy. Boy did that ever deteriorate with age, hahaha.
Check out the poll at the top of the thread. I guess Swimmy will have to wait for further inputs. All 3 options have 1 vote each, LOL.

More to choose from at Hats In The Belfry. www.hatsinthebelfry.com/category/mens-hats.htmlAnything but the Porkpie. And probably not the Bowler. Funny, I wore my first men's hat at age 25 in the town you're living in at the moment. Must be something in the air.

I think maybe the Wool Ivy, cocked at a jaunty angle and pulled low to the brow. It would give him that "dapper but dangerous" look.

RJ, my better half, has at least three of those styles but didn't pay that price. He still looks good. He loves his hats and wears them all year round. What's good about buying cheap is that when they get dirty, ya can just throw them away. In this area we can't find anyone who cleans hats, so in the garbage they go after they out live their use.

Who knows how to block and clean a hat? This could be an opportunity.

You do the hats, I'll work the counter.
You know, show a little skin, work the tip-jar. We will do ladies' hats, right?
