Is anyone else unable to reach www.mvgreen.org. CURIOUSLY, people outside our roadrunner system can get there but I can't . Working on it!

Sooo, turns out my site is BLACKLISTED but only here at the local TW Roadrunner level. It'll be back up shortly.
Sooo, if the clowns that did it read this board, give it up. It's gonna take a WHOLE LOT more than that. AND the more you push, the more I push back. See here's my take. You're incompetence and self serving is hurting my kids and my family and you're holding the community hostage with your nonsense. It's going to end! There's nothing we don't have to make it happen and there's nothing you have to prevent it, but by blacklisting my site, I'm pretty sure you know that already! So violate my First Amendment rights again and make my job a whole lot easier!

So round and round we go.
Looks like I sent an email to the Utica Mayor's office that they didn't like. I asked where in the Utica budget did they find enough scratch for 50 new golf carts. So it turns out that I'm NOT truly "blacklisted" because the site is still up. I can get it through a proxy server. Someone at the local level of Time Warner is responsible. This is NOT legal.

I can get to mvgreen.org okay but I'm not on a Time-Warner server. I'll try this evening when I get on a Time-Warner server.
I wouldn't rule out that a city employee contacted a Time-Warner employee who knew how to throw the right switches to make your website disappear. I'd love to see the fall-out from such an event.

You're going to see it, I'm on the phone with Security/Abuse at the national level and they're REAL interested! I know that's exactly what happened. I was an IT Engineer in a previous life. I'll let you know!

I have no trouble accessing the site from here in Tennessee either Rod.
This is a blatant assault on your first amendment rights.
I find it ironic that they use such a ploy to oppose or hinder your agenda, and in their ignorance simply paint the necessity for a site and movement like yours bright red with their ignorant trampling of your rights.
Go get'em Rod. It will be interesting to follow this incident and it's ramifications to TW and City Hall. Both entities have gotten way too big for their britches and need a"painful wedgie" to bring them back to reality. I guess that is what one might expect when they elect a mayor and get his handpuppet with lips to run the city in his absence.(although that puppet is better by far than either of the alternatives in the last election)

"Firefox can't find the server at www.mvgreen.org." Strange to me. I'm using roadrunner but I was able to look at it the other day. Are you using roadrunner as a hosting service?

Definitely a local problem up there. I use firefox, and it takes me immediately to the site, at an almost alarming speed, haha. Has to be a problem with your local provider. I have Charter Communications for my high speed internet provider. Sounds like there is a "skunk in the rose garden" somewhere at Time Warner. ( I better be careful or Clipper's Corner may disappear too!) Definitely a problem that needs to be rooted out and corrected at the source.

Thanks guys. TW is NOT the host. I'm awaiting a callback from TW. I just spent 45 mins on the phone with Security and Abuse and things just don't make sense from their perspective so THEY'RE escalating it.

It can be pinged but not resolved = someone messed with the local DNS servers.

Something fishy is going on Rod. When I view the page from an anonymous proxy I can get it. Test it out for yourself using this handy little website. htmlblock.co.uk/anonymous_web_browser/Just type in www.mvgreen.org and click surf anonymously Seem to me that TWC as in ISP has blocked the site.

No doubt. Already checked it via proxy and get the same results. Spoke to the hosting company. I've explored all options and I'm REAL confident about what I'm stating!

So we're back up. It was either I solved their problem by pointing them in the right direction or someone didn't fancy me talking to the Atty Gen's office. Hmmmmm.

I just wanted to post a quick note for those that may be wondering about the MV Green Coalition.
I have shelved it for the time being and for the following reasons. The first and foremost being that I have come to feel that I can be more efficient and effective by taking a more direct route to the turnaround of our area by being in a office as opposed to spending all of my energy and resources building a group to try to influence those in office. This comes from my experience in this endeavor, from watching and talking to similarly minded groups and by talking to a lot of people. This is not intended as any type of announcement other than to satisfy the curiosity of "what happened to MV Green?". Never was this my original intention or goal but it's a responsibility and opportunity that I am exploring.
Thanks
