The problem with Obama his not only his association with Paster Wright but his true beliefs about white people. He has stated he did not know his pastors beliefs but yet his Pastor has been spewing this hatred for the white man for over 20yrs. He defiantly knew. That is why he finally has denounced him.
Why did he attend the Million Man March along with his Pastor if he did not believe what he was preaching? He is no Kennedy and never will be. I think it is a disgrace to even put him in that category.
As far as his wife she is definitely racist and all the reading about her proves it.
How do you vote for someone that we have already caught lying and has no experience and is talking someone else's words. No experience in a local vote is fine but not the White House. Yes he most certainly can do allot worst than the others. In all his speeches he constantly hyms and haws with long pauses as if he is searching for answers. Hell he cant even decide what color he is.
I have lost all total respect for him and his wife and will never vote for them two to lead our Country.

I might add that I worked under the concept of Dorothy Day who was a great supporter of this, expecially as it reflect the poor in society and our need to liberate society against our government that oppresses them. Concerned, I think you portray Dororthy Day and the Catholic Worker Movement as too militant. I haven't read a lot about it, but in the newspaper I regularly receive from them, I don't get that tone at all. Nor from her frequently published writings. And it certainly isn't evident in their written Catholic Worker manifesto. C'mon down this way and we'll visit the Peter Maurin farm which is not far from here in Marlboro.

Hey Larry i need a new sidewalk any programs around for that? Corner, as far as I know, the city still has the same sidewalk program which pays (I believe) 50%. I'll check to see what other programs are available. I am actually trying to figure out where all the "Home Reinvestment" money went that was given before I was elected. The target area actually includes our neiborhood, but I got a complaint from someone on the 1600 block of Conkling that said they told her she wasn't in "Cornhill." It's interesting that if something "bad" happens over here, they will call it "Cornhill," but when we want grant money or other services (that we are paying for) they say it's NOT in the "target area." I will be sure to get back to you as soon as I hear something. I'll be in South Carolina until Tuesday, and will try to contact you when I get back in town. Have a great weekend.

Todd, everyone has their reasons why they will cast their vote for a certain candidate. I just don't see Obama as you do. "How do you vote for someone that we have already caught lying," that's quite the statement since the other two candidates are guilty of the same and have been involved in illegal activities in their past. As far as having experience in running our country. What does that really mean? In the past and up to the present we have voted in the ones that had the "experience" and where did that help us? Well maybe in riping off the taxpayer but not worthy of much more then that. Since you read alot, I suggest you read about the Kennedy's from the father down, because it is very hard for me to respect the Kennedy's as you so strongly stated your respect for them. If you or I will involved in many of the things the Kennedy's were involved in, we'd be in prison without a doubt. Respect them? I think not! The only reason I bring all this up is that one can read many books by many different authors and eventually get the opinion they are looking for to either praise someone or condemn someone. Enough said!

Ahhh.. true with "The Ankles" and I have an awful lot I do not particularly like with McCain but I would like to know what you may be referring to in his instance.
If you are thinking of the Keating 5, I post the following from Wikipedia, confirmed by other sources:
(Robert) Bennett, who was the special investigator during the Keating Five scandal that The Times revisited in the article, said that he fully investigated McCain back then and suggested to the Senate Ethics Committee to not pursue charges against McCain because of "no evidence against him." Bennett was coincidentally on Hannity and Colmes the night the story broke to talk about his autobiography. On the show, he said that he felt the Committee pursued charges against McCain because, without him, the case would have been entirely against Democrats."

wilum47, I am referring to the Keating 5 scandal concerning McCain, but I understand they found his involvement to be minimal, so they decided not to pursue any charges against him, but that definitely leaves alot of room for most to believe he was involved and guilty.

Not when it comes to the democrats. If you look further, McCain was indited for the sole purpose that he was a republican and the Dems, in power at the time, wanted to make it look like a "bi-partisan situation."
McCain has problems but outright lying like the other two, no way.
