yes but a vote for Obama will within a year place Biden as President. Uh, care to elaborate on that statement?

a problem with Obama for picking Biden as his running mate Could be, "a deal is a deal." Beyond abilities, there's cooperation. By the way, my impression of Biden was similar, even though I knew it takes some skill to become a US Senator, and then get oneself chosen as a VP candidate. I found him well spoken in his debate with Palin. I won't be voting for them, but if he and Obama win, and if Biden carries a fact-checker with him on the plane for the rest of his career, he might make a decent emissary for America.

We'll see. It looks like Obama is in if you read the polls. One poll & I forget which one it is has Obama up by 10 points as of today. It may be Gallup. I think Zogby has him up by 5.

As you say, we'll see. Polls have been wrong before. I've been pretty much talked out of the "Bradley Effect." I've read enough that questions the original premise of the Effect and how it might or not effect today's voters. Essence is: things change, and besides, it is unclear what really happened in the minds of the voters in the 1980's, anyway. The Republic will go on, the politicians will rule and the rest of us will open the paper the next morning to see if Best Buy has anything on sale. It's a great country, if you're middle class. And, if you're not in Iraq and a few other places.
