Maybe Picente will be willing to fork out the $423.00 a month for my Prevacid now that I lost my Family Health Plus insurance since I gross more than $200. a week!

Maybe he can explain that since Betty and I got married I had to be included in her Foodstamps she got as part of her Disability..........and of course since I make over $50.00 a week, she lost the $107 a month that helped us get by.

BUT.........Maybe he would also like to explain that since she is Disabled and on Medicare & Medicaid I CAN'T call her part of a couple........so I lose my FHP insurance.

Really didn't matter anyway since I found out that even then I could only gross $269 a week and qualify!!!!!

So yeah.......I am more than a little pissed when I hear him state that a good portion of the people working there could qualify for the very programs that DSS offers........pure unmitigated bullshit!

What is the point of working more to try and get by when every time one has the chance to take a step up, they wind up going down five floors in the elevator?

Sure, taxes are cheaper in Tennessee, Clipper. But you don't get the ... er ... uh ... well, you don't get all the government unions that we do.

We don't have the unions, we don't have as high wages as up north, but we have a cheaper cost of living, and everyone does fine. They have a bad habit down here. If they can't fund it, they don't build it, and if they can't pay for it, they don't buy it. Government here is a little more frugal than up there.

They save money on silly shit like guard rails. Up in NY you have guard rails guarding a majority of the road. Here, they expect the DRIVER to keep the car between the ditches, not a damn steel rail. It is kinda like, how far you go off of the road depends on how stupid you are driving and how fast you are going when you leave the pavement.
