We're going camping (again) tomorrow for the week. It's supposed to be in the 20s at night where we're going in Hamilton Co. We're in a tent, mind you. (Yes, Ralph: I'll have the Folger's can...)

Better take two folgers cans this trip. One with grounds for coffee to stay warm, and then the other one for the "recycleables", haha.
Have fun. Where in Hamilton county are ya going? I am trying to place the campgrounds in Hamilton County. That is up toward speculator right?
Geez, I miss camping in NY and the adirondacks.
Be safe, and drive carefully.

Have fun! We'll be going camping again soon, too, but...not in a tent! We just got a new camper. Check it out, pictures are on my blog. :-)

No link for those of us suffering from poor memory? ;D Camping in Hamilton County? Stoney, take some long underwear and plenty of rum. So that when the hubby chases you around the tent you won't lose the body heat you generate and the rum for when you're both thirsty. Like Clipp said, be safe and careful. Have fun!

The address isn't too hard to find. ;-) Oh, wait... I'm having a mid 50s blond moment. I'll figure it out. Campers are nice. I don't own one, but my mom & dad had worked up to a 26ft Cobra that they got 10 good years of travel out of before life took a decline for them both. Enjoy the new camper, Kim!

Good luck to you Stoney! Kim, Looks like you will all have fun traveling in that. Wish we could do something like that with the birds......just travel the country visiting friends. Soon as I get a few.

Ralph, we'd love to be able to just travel around in it and never have to worry about money...wouldn't that be great? But, we can't do that...too much debt...too many bills that need to be paid. Sigh. So, we'll just have to use it for 2 weeks in NY, our vacation in April and weekend getaways close to home. Unless, of course, we win that powerball!

We're back, but turning around & going again on Tuesday. It was freezing, but nice otherwise. We saw a bald eagle flying & also in its nest way up in a tree. A bear pooped near our tent but didn't come in & bother us. ;D
Clipper, we go to Eighth Lake, about 5 miles from Raquette Lake.
Your camper sounds great, Kim!!

I have camped there often Stoney. We used to like to get a site on the 7th lake end of the campsite on the water so I could beach the boat right at my site. Yes, there are bears there, and yes they do shit in the campsite and not just in the woods, haha. I remember when we were kids, either at Lewie Lake or Eighth Lake with my Grandpa and Grandma, a bear came around and my father was out beating on the cover to the diaper pail they used for a folgers can to chase it away, LOL.
Is your dupa still in tact, or did it fall off from the cold?

Kim, nice camper! Wow, they keep making them nicer and nicer! What's the pop-out? Part of the shower?
