Idk, I have yet to hear of anyone having a hard time finding gas, home heating oil or any other fuel to suit their needs. So why the spike in prices if there are no shortages? Me thinks this is nothing but a scam to bleed consumers until the Federal Govt gives in to big oil who have been howling for years about being allowed to drill on federal land for oil & gas. If energy giants are allowed to drill on Federal land such as the Arctic Wildlife Refuge how much cash are they going to kick back to American citizens who actually own the land that they want to drill on when the windfall profits roll in?
I won't hang waiting for my residual payments when Exxon & the rest of them get their way.
I paid $3.75 today for regular unleaded & I'm not too happy about it. The price of 93 octane which I would add to the tank on occasion but no more? $4.51/gallon!

Gas here jumped from $3.35 yesterday to $3.54 today. It has to do with a president who is putting sanctions on Russian oil, but buying millions of barrels of it every day, financing the war he is supposedly going to stop with the sanctions. This isn't about oil companies scamming the people. Exxon rep said yesterday that they could be producing and distributing product tomorrow if Biden would open the pipelines and let the crude oil flow.

$4.19 now in Utica and Yorkville. We now need to ban Russian oil until the war ends. We cannot subsidy the war machine called Russia.

Hasn't hit $4 yet but when we went to the bowling alley tonight it was $3.79 on the Virginia side of town and out near the interstate.

What a roller coaster. Up from $3.35 to $3.54 and $3..79 near the interstate yesterday and this morning Gas Buddy is showing that several stations are back down to $3.39. Why the crazy jump yesterday, and why back down today? I am going to top off this morning and fill a five gallon can with non-alcohol gas for the mowers. Who the hell knows where this is going to go.
I wonder if they will boost the diesel prices to an extortionate price today. The trucker's convoy is scheduled to pass through here this afternoon and some are expected to take a break at the Washinton County fairgrounds in Abingdon. People are being cautioned to be alert to the increased truck traffic on I-81 this afternoon. If I am not busy doing anything else I may just go and check it out for a few minutes from a side road that runs parallel to the interstate.

I am afraid this will get worse. The darkest days of Russian invasion lie ahead! NATO does nothing they should put troops on the ground along with European and USA troops fighting side by side with the Ukrainian army. Now Russia has taken the largest nuclear power plant in Europe and itd workers are being held hostage. He could destroy the planet.....
Biden is to release 30 million barrels of oil. Doesn't sound like that much.....

Just what this Country needs right now. A convoy of morons in 18 wheelers rolling into D.C. causing chaos over mask & virus mandates which for the most part don't even exist anymore.
If this Country God forbid ends up in a shooting war with Russia we're screwed. "Freedom Convoy" my asz. If there wasen't any freedom here they wouldn't be getting away with this crap. Someone should tell those Bozos this ain't Russia. Iv they want to "resist" they can head on over to Ukraine, there's a REAL issue over there.

The push to ban Russian oil is gaining steam. Here's what that means for US energy prices Analysis by Matt Egan, CNN Business Updated 4:30 PM ET, Fri March 4, 2022 www.cnn.com/2022/03/04/business/russian-oil-ban/index.htmlNew York (CNN Business)There's growing momentum in Congress to ban US imports of Russian oil. "I'm all for that. Ban it," House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said this week. A bipartisan bill, unveiled this week by Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Republican Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, would do just that. Note that this is very different from the more sweeping step of imposing sanctions on Russian oil, a move that would prevent virtually all nations from using Russian oil. Strictly banning US imports of Russian oil would most likely not have a dramatic impact on prices at US gas pumps, which surged this week to the highest level in nearly a decade. That's for a simple reason: Unlike Europe and Asia, the United States doesn't really use much Russian oil. Russia delivered just 90,000 barrels per day of crude oil into the United States in December, according to the most recent US government statistics. That pales in comparison with oil that the US gets per day from Iraq (223,000), Saudi Arabia (472,000) and Mexico (492,000), let alone the 4.1 million imported from Canada each day. continued

Someone should tell those Bozos this ain't Russia. Iv they want to "resist" they can head on over to Ukraine, there's a REAL issue over there. That "convoy of morons" as you call them have carried everything that an ungrateful public eats, drinks, wears or otherwise consumes all through the pandemic, and yes masks and vaccinations were required by many of the big companies with over 100 employees that fell under the mandates from the CDC. What they are protesting is the fact that even though the mandates are being eliminated in many cases there ARE still many companies who require the driver to be vaccinated, and companies that require a driver to wear a mask while on their dock loading or unloading. In recent days fuel costs are becoming a bone of contention that is worthy of protest also. Regardless of who is responsible for the huge rise in cost, it is Washington's responsibility to remedy the problem SOON and remedy it by whatever means necessary. Let me get this straight. Truckers and others shouldn't have the right to choose whether to wear a mask or get vaccinated, but others should have the right to kill a baby in the womb, put on a dress and take their fake tits AND a penis into a ladies room to pee while mothers and little girls are in there. Gays can marry, men can play women's sports, and late term abortion on demand should be an unquestioned right. I hope no one will be upset if I disagree. Maybe those "morons" should just PARK their trucks in protest rather than to convoy to DC. Park their trucks, get out and go home. Wait until "those morons" quit delivering your four dollar and up gasoline to the stations. Then you can WALK to the empty grocery store and bitch about truck drivers. If you look at the convoys, there are many of the trucks that are company trucks from large and reputable carriers who back their driver's protest and are picking up the tab for their expenses. Oh, I forgot that the Dems and liberals define burning down cities and looting innocent businesses as "peaceful protests" but innocent hard working truck drivers who want to drive into Washington DC, blowing their air horns and slowing traffic are morons who need to be dispersed by any means necessary. Maybe they would be better received if they tied a BLM flag to one mirror and a rainbow flag to the other.

They can do whatever they want to. Including ranting about freedom which they enjoy more then any Country on this planet. And they can park their rigs if they want to instead of crying about their freedom by rolling into DC causing chaos at our nations capital in a time of crisis. And I like to know what vaccine & mask mandates which millions of people have complied with to stop this virus has to do with abortion, transgender issues or whatever. Hopefully the QUANON nutjobs who are a part of this can explain what the war in Ukraine has to do with wearing a goddam mask, because they're in on this convoy & that's the newest conspiracy theory for the gullible whiners & complainers to obsess over.
And if they do park their rigs, I will walk to the store, cash or ATM card in hand as those truckers go without what THEY need. I'm sure the disabled & the elderly who aren't able to walk will support a bunch of self indulgent whiners crying about a mask & if their employers tell them to wear a mask they can quit if they don't like it. Nobody is forcing them to do anything, they can practice all the freedom they want with plenty of time to do it on the unemployment line.
Me? My support goes to the thousands of truckers who are actually doing their jobs delivering yep, gas, meds, food & anything else our citizens need to survive. It seems to me that the "convoy" crew would rather honk their horns in DC then do THEIR jobs.

Well they are in in Hagerstown MD this morning and going into DC later today. Has anyone actually noted that there are any QUANON nutjobs that are part of it? QUANON doesn't represent the majority of conservatives or republicans. They are no more than a splinter group
I don't see where they are will disrupt much other than traffic. Congress doesn't pay any attention to demonstrators anyway. Sleepy Joe certainly isn't too worried about the world situation or he would be in the damned White House where he belongs when our country is in crisis. Yup, before ya say it, I doubt Trump would be on the golf course or in Florida with the present state of affairs.
Do you really think that the members of congress are in town? Half of them or more have most likely gone home for the weekend. Biden and the democrats seem to get awfully tired and need to rest after they have had a "hard week" as Psaki said recently. Maybe Russia will agree to a cease fire on weekends so Joe can rest.
The demonstration is poorly timed it is because it was spawned by sympathy for the Canadian protests. At this point it is not so much about masks as it is about requiring vaccination or test before they are allowed on some company's docks or in some company's trucks. we would probably see the trucking industry protesting the high fuel costs and a call for Biden to take the strangle hold off of American energy producers. Regardless of what is causing the present situation, it could certainly be made better by the US stepping up production again and supplying us both our own energy needs as well as those of our allies.
The democrat's agenda put Trump in office when people voted for him only because they didn't want to vote for Killary Clinton. Next they voted for Biden because they didn't want to vote for Trump. Come 2024 we are going to be facing the same situation with people voting for anyone that runs against Biden, and in the mid-terms the democrats are going to take an ass whipping.

BHU, you and I heatedly argue politics but truth be known, we are very much alike but on opposite sides of issues. Both very passionate and single minded when it comes to our political views. You are still stuck in the past bitching about Trump. Trump is gone from any real power at this point. If he gains enough power to be re-elected it will be because of the haters. Most sensible republicans have moved on. It is going to take more than creating his own social media site and blathering on about the stolen election to convince most people to vote for him again. The truth be known most of us conservative republicans support his accomplishments and policies, and YES there are many policies that should have been left in place. It is very doubtful that many are enamored by the man and his personality. Show me a republican candidate that can restore energy independence and close the border to illegal entry and I believe we would be looking at a candidate that will whip Biden's ass in 2024 and make the US strong and respected again.
Your party of unity has done just the opposite. Biden's calls for unity are a farce. You have a democrat party, house majority, and presidential cabinet that is still butt hurt and vengeful because Hillary Clinton lost the election. Truth be known, we need to see Pelosi, Schumer, as well as Mitch McConnel gone. And while we are at it we need to dump racists like Maxine Waters, AOC and others from congress.

Trump is no doubt a force to be reckoned with. An evil one. A few days ago a few of his supporters stood up & chanted "Putin Putin Putin" T CPAC. What did Trump do? Stood there with a sh*t eating grin on his face. This while Ukraine faces mass slaughter. There is no Republican Party. It's Trump's Party of enablers, lackeys & apologists who don't have the backbone to stand up to a guy who hates Democracy & tried to destroy it after he lost. If the voter's decide that Biden, Pelosi etc must go, then they'll go. But rest assured they'll respect the will of the voter's which is more that can be said for Trump & his bootlickers in the Trump Party who are hell bent on destroying our form of government which thousands of men & womwn died defending.
Trump is a closet Fascist dictator who secretely envies Putin & other murderous monsters who put their knee on the throat of their citizens to keep them in the gutter. If he gets back in the W.H. & he keeps hinting at running again unless it's another one of his money grabs, it's all over. And he may pull it off.
