Time for President to get energy priorities straight

I disagree that there IS no republican party. As I said earlier, there are Trump supporters, and plenty of them, but there is also a separate segment. a reasonably small but loud segment, but there is also a separate segment and hopefully a LARGER segment of the party that still remain loyal to a peaceful and orderly agenda, loyal to the government that many of us fought to defend and many died doing so. That is the segment of the party that is going to defeat Joe Biden and his fragmented democratic party. He is losing more support every day. Between his poor handling of the Afghanistan withdrawal, the wide open border that encourages rather than discourages illegal entry into the US, and his assault on our energy industry on his very first day in office. Hopefully he won't put boots on the ground or aircraft in the air in and over Ukraine.

This country could go in a much different and positive direction if the "party of unity" would simply stifle the hateful rhetoric and division, pay attention to the issues at hand instead of plotting to discredit anything or anyone republican and actually act like true Americans and conduct the nation's business as our forefathers and our constitution intended.

It won't end until people like Pelosi, Schumer, and McConnell and many others are gone and the partisan brinksmanship is cooled in favor of taking care of the nation's business in a civilized manner. I have but one thing to say about that. TERM LIMITS.

As for the alleged morons that are taking part in the trucker's convoy, they are not going to shut down Washington DC or the government by plugging the streets around the centers of government. Their intent at the present time is to simply circle the city, single file on the belt way slowing the commute while not blocking traffic or impeding emergency vehicles.

Brase said the drivers planned to circle the capitol’s ring-road twice on Sunday and repeat that pattern on successive days. “We don’t want to shut DC down,” Brase told the newspaper.

“We’re not anti-vaxxers. We’re not. We just want freedom, freedom. We want to choose. We just want the choice. So tomorrow is a basically a show of just how big we are and how serious we are.” Brase added that it was not clear how long the protest convoy would last.

But he told the drivers, who are mostly white, middle-aged men, to celebrate the distance they had traveled, without instructions about what to do at their destination or what that destination might be.

Without a destination or denouement in mind, the truckers on Sunday appeared destined to circle until further notice.

He has taken actions to reduce domestic production which means increased imports. Most of our oil imports come from Canada or Mexico but our imports tend to drive up world market prices. Bans on any Russian products by the US would have a mostly symbolic value. China is the biggest buyer of Russian oil, Netherlands 2nd, Germany 3rd. The Saudis would probably be the biggest winners if Europe stopped buying Russian oil.
