I hope all goes well for the two of you while in quarantine. This is the second time for testing positive isn't it. That is interesting since I figured if a person tests positive some antibodies have to be present to make the test positive so we can become infected with this more than once. Interesting I think. I wonder how that rolls out in terms of receiving a vaccine and how long immunity will last. I wish they would have actually tested that before rolling out the vaccine . I have my doubts. Maybe the vaccine is being given knowing it will at least give a false hope to people. Now to worry about this new dominate mutation that is out there infecting at a very rapid path and will the current vaccine be effective. The first test was negative. I think that is how it will be for awhile, a negative test last week doesn't prevent a positive next week. The next challenge will be to determine how much immunity is conferred by having the disease and recovering. I spoke with Kathy's doctor just yesterday during a telephone follow-up visit in regard for her recent hospitalization for Covid. We asked him about the immunity issue. He says that it is pretty much accepted and believed that immunity lasts for at least 90 days. He advised us both to wait that ninety days before getting the vaccine and to continue to follow the masking and sanitizing recommendations from the CDC. While not completely complacent with our new found immunity, it DOES seem to be a bit of the weight is lifted knowing that we have some degree of immunity and every unmasked idiot I pass is not going to infect me. Praying for a good outcome for you, Barb, and the family. It is definitely has to be an unnerving experience to have a major family outbreak like that. Is everyone else doing well and recovering without serious consequences?

Barb and I are improving. I still have a cough but not as much. I remembered yesterday that we have a Dr. Scholl's heating pad that supplies heat and massage to the lower back. That felt good.
Barb had a call from MVHS yesterday asking if she wanted to be a shot giver. She had to tell them "Not while I am in quarantine."
