Sorry to hear that . Sounds like a very painful procedure. You are definitely in my prayers. I am bitching about the food but I am sure that simply being able to swallow is something you are looking forward to. Get well soon my friend. I hope the pain is tolerable and able to be managed. How are you feeling? Hopefully better.

So Clipper how does a chicken make cookies? From scratch!
Why does a chicken coop only have two doors? Cause if it had four it would be a sedan!
Thank Valarie Bertinelli for them she is cooking on the Food Network.

How are you feeling? Hopefully better. On Valentine's Day I drove to Hannaford's for a card and chocolates. I was pleased that I was able to walk normally without fear of hurting myself. On Thursday Barb is having shoulder surgery so we have to switch who is patient and who is caretaker.

I saved 1/2 of a small tuna sub from subway that Kathy and I split. I waited until just a few minutes ago because of not being able to eat a after midnight. Probably won’t get the procedure until afternoon depending on how many more critical cases go ahead of me. Say a quick prayer for me. I am nervous but only because they had me sign consent forms for the catheterization, angioplasty, and finally open heart bypass surgery. If they can’t correct the problem with angioplasty they take you straight from the cath lab to surgery. That scares me.

Prayers offered Clipper. Hopefully the issue can be taken care of in the Cath lab & you'll be good as new in no time. If this is any consolation a relative of mine at the age of 80 had triple bypass surgery a couple years ago & came thru it with flying colors & is still doing well. But hopefully you won't need it.

Well I'm glad someone read your chart and found that HUGE ALERT for Iodine allergy. Holy crap someone needs a good taking to or be fired.
I am allergic to a couple things so I always mention them regardless of what goes on. I am highly allergic to latex so I always mention that especially when I get my flu shot at Walmart. They use a different glove.

We both have formal med histories Barb put together a few years ago. She updates it when our meds change. I print a fresh copy before any appointment. In theory electronic medical records will make that unnecessary. We will see. After having the same primary care doc for 15 years, I am now on my 3rd in about 2 years.

Wow PB. I hope I don’t develop That latex allergy. I just paid $13 for a box of 250 latex gloves to wear when applying stain or paint in my shop. What happens? Do you break out from contact with latex or are there more serious, life threatening effects?

Do you break out from contact with latex or are there more serious, life threatening effects? My skin will seriously blister then fall off. It looks and feels horrible. I also get hives, itching, stuffy or runny nose, asthma symptoms of wheezing, chest tightness and difficulty breathing. I am also allergic to avocado. Had guacamole many years ago and was rushed to the hospital within minutes. Neck got swollen and had serious trouble breathing. Doc told me then stay away from anything with avocado. I was looking at the plant based butters and low and behold one ingredient was avocado!!!!! I am also allergic to Lasix. I get a rash then itching and swelling.I take Bumetanide ( Bumex ) instead. It is also cheaper than the original one I was one and my insurance made them find something else. Other one and I forgot the name cost $1000./month supply.

I get a printout from my Pulmonologist at Slocum each time I see her. Has on it what the visit was about continued care and or recommendations and also all my medications listed. She also give me a list of my meds prior to my visit so I can correct or add to anything my Primary Doc has done since the last time I saw him. I also carry with me a list of my current medications with allergy's listed I have has 3 Primary Doctors at Slocum Dixon.
