If the perfect storm occurs and it becomes a hilboma ticket, McCain will be eaten alive by the liberal machine. Her ego will be the biggest impedement to a unified democrat party. Consider this..... On saturday she puffs up and announces she is taking her delegates and running independent. Nothing like splitting the democrats down the middle and starting a 2 front war.

That's a great scenario, Dan. She knows McCain would win. That gives her four years to shit-kick Obama back to where he came from and run against the Republicans while she's still young enough 4 years from now, after they have made the same mistakes all over again, in her eyes.

I'm not the politico some of you seem to be and have no where near the knowledge of this group, but assassination was the first thing I thought of when I heard Hillary would be interested in the VP spot. Only way for her to be pres. Watch out Barak!

The only safe bet for us is to not elect him in the first place. Then the two of them can crawl back into the same hole they crawled out of.

While I am not convinced that Obama could handle the presidency, I would imagine he would be a very effective senator for the state of Illiniois, if he were able to focus all of his attention on the job. He hasn't been there enough to effectively represent those people for at least a year and a half.
Hillary has NEVER given a shit about New York state. She simply used NY as a stepping stone to her present place in politics. She is a scumbag of the greatest proportion, and a user of those that can serve her personal ambitions.
She is not the smart young and able politician that Obama is. Obama needs to go back to Illinois as a senator. Hillary needs to go back to any place but NY and retire and grow old quietly and out of the public eye. She is a "has been". I think you will see her go down in flames when the next senatorial election comes up also. NY needs to start thinking about who they would want to elect to fill her office in the senate.
Sadly, Ted Kennedy is dying of a horrible type of cancer. Happily, John Kerry was put in his place, and it was not a place of national noteriety. Now what we need is for Hillary and her crooked, self serving bullshit to dissappear from the mainstream of politics, and the country and the democratic party can move on.
Pelosi is a detriment. Several other senators are idiots, but the party needs to find the bright star that will restore the faith of the American people in a great political party, that has lost sight of their mission.
The Democratic Party, under the leadership of people like Pelosi and Murtha and others, has lost sight of their true purpose. They have become incensed with spending their every waking moment bashing our sitting president. That is a disgusting and treasonous thing for them to be focused on. They need to come up with a policy that shows America what they will do to correct Bush's "wrongs", instead of ranting on and on about it, and doing nothing to correct it. I have no idea what the answer is, but the dems have shown me no direction either. Hillary and Obama have both simply spent their campaigns talking about a rapid withdrawal from Iraq. That is not the answer, and Obama has now finally started to speak with some sense about the issue of getting our troops home, while accomplishing the mission we went there to accomplish.
Both parties have their strengths and weaknesses. Always have and always will. Philosophy of the party is what holds the loyalty of the voters to their own party.
I simply would like to see the parties both go back to taking some interest in doing something for the country, instead of spending 24/7 fighting each other in congress and in the media. They seem to have lost sight of any other issue, other than defeating the other party and "taking power".
Our government is supposed to be about "representation of the people, by the people", not which party is the strongest, and which party can gather the most campaign dollars and make the most noise on the 6 o'clock news.
I have been absolutely nauseated by the borderline treasonous criticism of the president, and some of the statements made. I have been shamed by some of the alienation from our longtime allies, and our loss of stature in the world's eyes. It is sad that we have to show the world Nancy Pelosi, bashing our president, twice a day on world news networks. We could at least put someone in front of the cameras that doesn't come across as such a moron.
Dems and Republicans will always have their opposing views. It is simply sad that we have had to air so much dirty laundry on the clothesline of the world over the last few years with such idiots and John Kerry, Nancy Pelosi, and Hillary Clinton, bashing our country's president, while only offering a minute glance at any possible solutions to the problems that they criticize Bush for.

Because they know they are responsible for the problems they criticize President Bush for. Why do you think they are always so adamant about making sure they belittle the President? Because if they didn't Americans might get smart and realize it's the President's naysayers who are to blame for many of the debacles we face. Had our fearless leaders not spent so much time politically posturing and did something for the greater good 90% of the problems our country is facing today would be solved! But then again, President Bush would have his victories, and the dems can't let that happen, not even at the expense of helping their constituents.

Agreed 100%. Our problems stem allot further than the President. Unfortunately you have to be a multi-millionaire to be in any political position which eliminates allot of potentially great candidates.

Unfortunately you have to be a multi-millionaire to be in any political position which eliminates allot of potentially great candidates. Which brings up Ralph Nader, my hero, who is not a multi-millionaire. I don't agree with much that he says, often, but you can't help but respect a guy who holds to his own course and refuses to be swayed. And as far as anyone knows, he still lives the life of a monk. I wonder how the American public would react to him as a Democratic VP candidate?

I don't think he would allow it. I thought his primary goal was to put a third party on the national ballot so that we didn't have a sole two-party system.

I just heard on cable news, that Hillary "made Obama's short list for VP". What the hell would he want to do that for. He will be sure to go down in smoke with her on the ticket!
I will be watching closely. I actually had a certain amount of respect for him to this point, but if he selects her for a running mate, I will go back to thinking he is not worth his salt.
Hopefully the "short list" will also include someone more appropriate to select for the job.
