Hops blossoms are only a minor part of the brewer's grains. The barley and grain is what comprises the bulk of the feed, and they have been SELLING it for as long as I can remember. We used to feed brewers grains when I worked on a farm as a teenager (1960's). It actually comes down a chute in the form a a wet mash about the consistency of stiff oatmeal. Cows love the stuff and it really boosts milk production.

Yes, the mash you are talking about is what I was referring to. A guy I bumped into who drives for the Kia dealer here tells me the farm he used to work on would back the truck up to the chute and they'd fill it up. Same thing he said, the cows loved it.

Hmmm. Breakfast of champions. I wonder how it would be with a little milk and sugar and a banana sliced on top of it? LOL
