www.wktv.com/news/local/19497739.htmlThis is kinda funny. I remember we use to all meet at Arby's on Genesee Street with our hot rods and then at Friendly's Ice Cream on Genesee Street. Both places the Police ran us out to never return. I can't wait to see how this one turns out.

I used to go with my friends all the time. However I agree with you Todd the police used to run everyone out. The New Hartford Police also ran people out of Dunkin on Seneca Turnpike. My fiance's mom and stepfather have a bike, and people used to all go there and meet and drink coffee now mind you the ages were 50+ and the nh cops used to cruise around there waiting for them to leave and pull them over b/c of the pipes.. Let me tell you I think having loud pipes on bikes is a plus, that sometimes is the only way you know a bike is in your "blind" spot.. I think they keep them safe.. But they dont hang out there anymore they all go other places now what a shame, some fun without drinking and the cops in nh had to ruin it.. Trust me I love cops my family and friends are cops but at some point they have to decide what is right to target people for and what is not.. Hopefully they dont run the people out of here that are with this "classic car" idea again

Hey for any of you interested in old cars, I have for sale a gorgeous 1965 Mustang hard top, beautifully restored. The idea was to keep it till the 50th anniversary when it would be worth even more and have the money for retirement, but now that I'm facing this potentially life shortening event, I need to part with it now. I have insurance but may need the money for not covered items, travel, etc. If you know of anyone who would be interested, let me know. I'm asking $23,000. Thanks

Oh yeah - I also have a great 1986 GMC Suburban in great shape, 72,000 original miles, heavy duty tow package, electric trailer brakes. I'm asking $4,000 for it. It gets about 10-12 miles per gallon but if you need this kind of a vecicle it's extremely reliable.

We heard about how the cars & bike were unwelcome at the old Dunkin.
Let it be known that whether bikes or cars, everyone is welcome at the Dunkin on Seneca Turnpike.
No one there will run them off.

There were only driven off because the manager that was there before our franchisee bought the place didn't want them there.
We would love to have the business back!!!! Nights over there are DEAD for the most part. We have a good size parking lot and are right next to the banks as well. No one over there that hour of night, so we can't see any harm in it.

If they really want to put together a special night for it and make a regular thing out of it, get back to me and let me know. I am sure we can work out a "group discount" or something for those participating.

We to attend alot of the car and bike nights in the summer at Sylvan Beach, in Rome and in Utica and have to say the police do not bother any of them. It just might be because they're better organized, put on by the local car clubs and a lot more peaceful then the ones in the past I've attended. Sad, but it only takes a few people who tend to get out of hand that will ruin it for all. Haven't found there to be any trouble in the last few years that we've attended.

Car Cruises are fun and a great way to enjoy the summer air and a walk. We sometimes have 8-10 a week in this area believe it or not! Some of us get together thru the winter and shoot the breeze to pass the time. We still have a local DRAGSTRIP too....ESTA DRAGWAY in Cicero just 15-20 minutes past the Beach turnoff out Rte 31 with a final left turn on Eastman Road. We run on Sundays starting April 19th this year til Halloween time and get over 200 entries on a Race day. You can race a car, cycle or a properly equipped snowmobile. go to WWW. ESTADRAGS.COM. It anyone is interested in this or the car cruises get a hold of me, or Mike Z... I am the Street Rep for the track. Also have my cruise car for sale if anyone has an interest... this is not a hot rodded vehicle ... I have a separate vehicle for that stuff! lol This is a 2002 Ram Air Collectors Edition Trans Am....one of 349 made as an automatic and convertible. it is loaded and only 12 k miles on it...totally original and all the factory paperwork. This is the last Firebird /Camaro/ Challenger Convertible as GM and Dodge have cut back on their plans for 2010 do to the bailout. This is also the last Firebird year besides being a Collector Edition. give me a private mail if any interest...tracman@adelphia.net
