Glaze recipe: Ingredients 1/4 cup whole milk 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 cups confectioners' sugar Add Checked Items To Grocery List Directions Combine milk and vanilla in a medium saucepan and heat over low heat until warm. Sift confectioners' sugar into milk mixture. Whisk slowly, until well combined. Remove the glaze from the heat and set over a bowl of warm water. Dip doughnuts into the glaze, 1 at a time, and set on a draining rack placed in a half sheet pan for 5 minutes before serving. Go to the store and buy a package of Pillsbury Grands Biscuits. Take a small bottle cap or something small and round and put a hole in the center of the biscuit. Save the portion cut out for donut holes. Fry the donuts and donut holes in 350 degree oil until golden, turning as necessary. Dip in the glaze, place on a rack so the excess glaze can drip off. Tastes just like a bakery bought yeast donut with glaze. I may try the same technique without punching the hole out and will try to fill them with jelly. You can also sprinkle the donuts with cinnamon and sugar, or frost them. We have only tried the glazed donuts. Have not yet tried any filling or different toppings.
