Aunt backed over 6 year old Verona boy

Another tragic event with so many what-if questions. A heart break for everyone especially the Aunt that who was driving will now have to live with that burden for the rest of her life.

My heart and prayers go out to the family and may little John rest in peace.

According to WKTV news, the Mother was a passenger in the car driven by her sister, little John's Aunt, when this tragedy occurred. Little John was playing in a pile of dirt/sand at the edge of the driveway and was specifically told to stay there and not move. But, he did move and that was why his Aunt ran over him - she simply didn't see him.

This is why ALL large vehicles, SUVs, Vans, etc, should have mandatory rear view monitors on the back of them to avoid tragedies like this. It is impossible to see what is behind you when you are driving one of these larger automobiles.

Little John is now an Angel in Heaven and free of all pain and sorrows BUT his Mother and his family will be tortured for years and years over this. My hearts and prayers go out to them.
