It is pretty sad when rioting and protests are only avoided when police are forced to defend themselves right from the onset in such and incident as this. Showing the real-time video of the incident quashed attempts to sensationalize the shooting as another unjustified killing by law enforcement. I am not sure that Sharpton would be packing his bags to defend a middle eastern individual, but I am sure that some of the Muslim community would have been in the streets and calling for the deaths of police officers.
