I wonder if he was trying to follow the railroad tracks in order to find help or his way back home. Due to the cold weather, he might have just laid down to "rest" and froze to death. What a heartache for his family.

www.wktv.com/news/local/18449979.htmlI am originally from Waterville and it was rumored that Greg was going through tough times with the loss of his job and a wife that was unhappy. I did not post this earlier because it was only rumor from the old small town gossip column. This is a tragedy that has left a huge gap in the life's of Greg's wife and kids. I have had friends up at the Prison and through out the State that has done the same thing. I can't help to wonder if their kids are the last thing they think of before going through the unthinkable. I would like to think that this alone would make me stop and rethink about my decision. I guess we will never know his last thoughts, but I am sure as he is looking down on the sadness he has brought to his young children that he has made a horrible mistake. My heart goes out to Greg's wife and kids and hopefully Greg himself has found peace.

They announced it on WKTV that Greg had shot himself (suicide). This makes this entire matter even more tragic and so hard on his family that he left behind. If only he had tried to talk about his inner feelings with a counselor or trusted friend, maybe they could have talked him out of such a drastic mistake. All we can do now is pray that God will be watching over his family and try to help them thru this emotional tragedy.

I can only imagine the range of emotions -- anger, grief, shock, betrayal -- that his family is suffering right now. My prayers and hope are with them.
