Free Old Time Radio Shows from "The Golden Age of Radio!"

Welcome to Old Radio World! Here at OldRadioWorld.com you will find some of the most popular radio programs of the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s. Before television, radio provided entertainment by presenting radio plays and programs of mystery, intrigue, and comedy. There was also news and soap operas.

If you are new to old time radio, have a look at how the sound men created the broadcasts with sound effects. I watched the "Back of the Mike" video and was thrilled beyond belief. My heart was pounding with excitement the whole time and I'm so relieved that Old Pete, Betty and her new car were finally safe. The bad guys were foiled again. Now I'll be able to sleep tonight.

That being said, with tongue-in-cheek, I do enjoy hearing the old radio shows that I listened to when I was just a young sprout. In fact, my hobby for over 30 years was collecting the old shows and recording them on cassette tapes. I had over 20,000 shows in my collection and cataloged them all. There's an FM radio station in Oswego with a translator station at SUNY-IT in Utica (WRVN 91.9) that plays OTR every evening around the time I go to bed. The old time radio shows put me to sleep now that I'm older, just like they did when I was a kid.
