And easy way to chop whole tomatoes that are canned is to use a pair of scissors. You don't get your hands dirty, it is fast and easy and the scissors are easier to clean than a food processor. Plus you get to work the muscles in hand and wrist. Changing hands will prevent an uneven muscle distribution in each hand and wrist.

If we get whole canned tomatoes, Kathy does that with scissors right in the can before she dumps them into the pan for sauce. Is that what you are saying Alan? Boy are you ever correct about being easier to clean than the food processor. You simply throw the scissors in the dishwasher after using them in that acidic liquid. I usually try to buy the diced tomatoes but have screwed up a couple times and had to listen to the mumbling while she cut the whole ones up.

For some reason canned whole tomatoes are a popular item at Walmart. I have asked them to stock more of them.
