apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap080207.htmlWhenever I see a picture like this it reminds me of the creation story in the Book of Genesis. And God created the heavens and the earth.............and said;ktov ( hebrew for 'it is good' )

It seems like something you would expect from the opening scenes of a sci-fi flick.

That's really amazing. Hubble is one role of federal government that I actually like. That one picture is worth the price of admission.

I was a little disappointed that they named the replacement after a politician/bureaucrat instead of after a scientist. But I must admit that Webb probably did more to advance science than any individual scientist has done.
I was kind of hoping they would have named it after Frank Drake. I took Astronomy 410 from Drake. I continually suffered from dry mouth due to sitting through lectures with my jaw dropped. And he's got a kewl name, too.

Now i have a headache.. as best i could figure.. the 50 million light years away is equal to
2.93931269 × 10 to the 20th power.
in other words.. what you are seeing now isnt there anymore ..
amazing stuff.
